Charlie Strong
Yesterday after the Derby I started thinking about football next season, and thought wow. I know Louisville is not back to the Bobby Petrino days were we could run up the score and win big bowl games, but were getting there fast. This season probable 7 and 5 or 8 and 4 which sounds great. This is the first since Petrino that I am excited for football and we can thank Charlie Strong for that. He has changed the outlook for Louisville Football not only bring in big recruits Teddy Bridgewater, Gerod Holliman, Michelle Harris, Devante Parker, and all the other top recruits. More importantly he can coach he took a 3 win team and made them a 7 win team, with a bowl victory. Charlie is getting us back to victory and hopefully in a few years a Championship.

You don’t have to make a fanpost for pointless, redundant thoughts.

Relax
you are in fact NOT the real slim shady and thus do not have to act like a douche

He isn’t.
And I don’t care if it’s being a douche, this shouldn’t be a fanpost.

The point is
You don’t have to read it man, and you certainly don’t have to dog someone on "the same team – that is what UK fans do to each other when one of them hints that perhaps BBN shouldn’t bomb NCAA HQ for not letting Enes Kanter play this year.
I am sure there are times when you and me post things that people think are stupid/pointless/redundant or what-have-you. Just pass it by and hope the next thing you post does not get shot down in the first reply

Well
He’s just expressing his opinion and that is what the fanpost section is for. Also you don’t have to read it

No, that's not what the fanpost section is for.
If he wants to write a paragraph and start a discussion, that’s fine. There’s a fanshot for that. Fanposts are for things more substantial
"...and the present, for us, is something that we really look forward to."
- Rick Pitino
oops, I didn't finish that because I meant to cancel it, and then I hit the wrong button.
"...and the present, for us, is something that we really look forward to."
- Rick Pitino
This is actually incorrect.
Fanshots are meant purely for external links – snapshots from around the web, thus, Fan*shot*. Everybody who has been using it to post a simple question or statement have been using it incorrectly.
But yes, Fanposts are supposed to be more substantial. Ergo, random thoughts that come to you on a whim shouldn’t be posted at all.
To be clear, I have no problem with the content of this post.
I love Charlie Strong, and there’s nothing wrong with showing him a little love on CC. My complaints are aimed squarely at the continual use of poor grammar and incomplete thoughts. The content is ruined by the presentation; it makes the post look bad, it makes the site look bad, and it makes me sad.
Again, if you’re going to continue to ignore grammar, spelling, and genuinely thought-provoking discussion, we can just read this stuff on the ITV free boards, and that’s a perfectly acceptable place for it. Card Chronicle has always strived to be something different, and it pains me to see it losing its identity and focus.

There are several kinds of fan shots.
One is a link. One is a quote. Another is an image, and a fourth one is a video. The fifth kind of fan post is a “chat,” which is what I was referring to.
"...and the present, for us, is something that we really look forward to."

Proofread fail

This years team will be pretty good but just wait until his first and second class that he brought in are juniors and seniors. Glad the excitement is back.

Is the MAN!
and I posted this on the Big East Coast Bias thread – so don’t read further if you’ve already read it – but:
Good Lord, just think what our prospects (for this year) would be like if (Krapthorpe) was even an average coach! Hopefully the Cards can pull it off big time this year. I was homerishly (yes, it is a word – I JUST MADE IT UP!) projecting conference champions late last year (in regards to this year), but with all the injuries…
Anyone know if HCCS did some of the team-building stuff this year like he did last year? Like the lock-in thing and some others that escape my mind. I hope so, but have heard nothing about it up to this point.
People!
It’s the dead period; what do you expect to read? There’s not going to be breaking news every day. Loosen up your panties and give the kid a break.
"During my ME time in the shower the other day I thought, we really havn’t goteen THAT signature game yet" - Austin Montgomery
I'll be thrilled
with a repeat of last year’s final record and a W over UK. But we might regress a bit. Powell is a big loss. Dude was chewing up what, 5-6 yards per carry last year? Wright and VA will do well, but I’ll be surprised if they do that well. Which brings me to the other worrisome issue for this season: the Offensive Line. Lost major experience and cohesion there. If the new starters can’t gel as a unit early on, 5-7 isn’t out of the question.
On the plus side, we’re going to be improved at the DL and LB positions. I think this year’s defense will keep the team in games well into the 4th Quarter, even if the offense does regress a bit vs. last year. I bet this year’s defense leads the league in sacks and is very stingy when it comes to rushing yards allowed.
Add it all up and unless the new OL is better than expected, I think we’re looking at another .500 year. Could go a game in either direction.
Ahh, but 2012 and 2013? It’s gonna be SWEET to be a Louisville football fan those years. So Clay, write this post again in one year and you’ll get a lot more enthusiasm in reply.
Charlie Strong has yet to say one thing or make one decision I am against
I’d love to bump into him somewhere and shake his hand, thanking him for being so flippin awesome.

What I find frustrating about these type of posts
Is I usually come here for breaking news or inside information. Or good discussion.
This essence of this post is “I like Charlie Strong.” It’s not very though provoking or informative.

The post
Wow didn’t know it was going to be this big of a deal to praise Charlie Strong. I mean seriously if you want to attack my grammar or spelling fine, but to be mad because this isn’t breaking news is stupid. Half the stuff isn’t breaking news yesterday LORD KAYOSS put he saw Bryce Cotton yesterday.
He was making fun of austin.
That is acceptable as well.
I agree.
Look, guys, if we are going to worship AM and GCA and be jerks toward Clay here, something is wrong. Clay, keep writing, and have fun with it! Go Cards!
"Marquise Teague sucks!"
-Bryce Cotten
Not any knock on AM and GCA
Clay is just very comparable to those two
"Marquise Teague sucks!"
-Bryce Cotten
Geebus...
Now I’m sure we will have an interwebz fight over misinterpretation. I’m just saying that Clay and Austin are a lot alike and people feel the need to tell Clay that he shouldn’t post. Just sayin’.

Nobody's telling Clay he shouldn't post
