I took this directly from the rivals-cardinal website.....
"There are a total of seven new five-star prospects in the new Rivals.com Top 150 for the class of 2012. Making the biggest splash is Indiana native Mitch McGary who makes a meteoric rise from No. 92 to number No. 5 nationally. He just might be the best big man in the country and Louisville is involved.
McGary moved to Brewster Academy in New Hampshire and has seen his stock go from low-major to the highest of high majors.
McGary told Justin Young of National Hoops Report that Indiana, Purdue, Marquette, Memphis, Arizona and Texas have all offered scholarships. He has unofficially visited to Kansas, Indiana, Purdue, Illinois and Marquette.
Which other schools are starting to call? West Virginia, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, UConn and Florida are among those pursuing him. Another school he's hearing from is Louisville, where new assistant Richard Pitino is one of his early favorites.
"I'm still kind of stunned that all of these schools are looking at me this hard," McGary told Young. "I'm grateful for it. I'm just in shock that everyone is looking at me this hard though. Work pays off in the end. Right now I'm doing well so I can see why guys talking to me.
"I am really wide open now. I just like the relationships I have now. To be honest, I had a really good relationship with Richard Pitino when he was at Florida then he moved to Louisville. I talked to him just this week since he's been at Louisville. I have a pretty good relationship with him. I liked him as a coach and a person. Now he's showing interest along with his dad. They are in the mix.
"He acted like a coach but he was more like a friend. He wasn't always talking basketball. He was just low key like 'What's up? How's the day going?' That's how I think coaches should be - real cordial and nice. I think a lot of coaches should be like that. A lot more players would probably go to their schools if they were like that.""
