Quick afternoon Cardinal notes

Even though he recently went on record saying Louisville was the favorite to land his services, GatorBait.net is now apparently reporting that former Tennessee signee Kevin Ware will soon visit UCLA and commit to playing for the Bruins. Ware is tight with AAU coach Korey McCray, who is expected to be named a new UCLA assistant relatively soon.

Ware will be playing on the same team as the Louisville signees in the Derby Classic, so here's hoping that works in our favor.

There was some chatter this morning/early afternoon that the spring game may be canceled on account of the bad weather both already here and heading this way, but as of now the game is still set to begin at 7 p.m.

Adam Zagoria reports that neither Russ Smith nor George Goode will be following Steve Masiello to Manhattan.

My favorite thing about the 2011 football season so far: The fact that Charlie Strong consistently and seriously refers to Josh Chichester as "Chi-Daddy."

My second favorite thing about the 2011 football season so far: Titus Tegaue is starting.

Enjoy the game and enter our Down the Stretch contest if you've yet to do so.
