If the Derby City Classic wants to sell tickets
Call Rodney Purvis and invite him to join the event as the first-ever Junior to participate.
With UofL fans in mamby-pamby land about him potentially reneging on his verbal as a result of Fuller departing, they would show up in the hundreds and maybe even thousands extra if Purvis were involved in the event.
As of right now, I am on the fence whether to attend or not. If Purvis were there showing off his skills and I were able to show my support for him (along with the rest of the Cards) I would definitely attend.

I actually had the same question
I don’t understand how it could be viewed as any different than an AAU tournament.
Does anyone know contacts for the Derby Classic? It would be intriguing to at least run the idea by them. They would know the rules and regulations.
Also ask them if we can get The Zooperstars

Dan Owens is the right guy.
I nominate our leader, Mr. Rutherford, to send the email. I’m a sleuth. Here it is:

That's bad marketing
when I look at your company name and immediately think “Frosted Brown Turd”.

That's something of a reflection on you
How many things do you typically look at and think of fecal matter?
"Screech, you CAN'T elope!"
"Who are you calling a cantaloupe, you melonhead?"
Mike:
Will you do this for your loyal following?
I don’t know if I have jurisdiction, but I’d be willing to offer you 10,000 CardChronicle points to send the e-mail.
Throw some points my way for finding the email address.
Daddy needs to upgrade his CC wardrobe.
Stout Out!
The only reason people would go would be to cheer on Purvis?
Why don’t you want to cheer on Blackshear, Behanan, Price, Nunez, and Ware? That’s enough for me.

i see it from another angle
Get him here so he gets a taste of playing in the Yun and the fan’s love. Of course, not sure that’s the festival’s objective.

Sure it is
The Festival’s objective is to use the Derby as a tool to promote the city. Getting great players into the Yum center for their college careers clearly fits into that objective.
