I hadnt heard about Taylor in a while and assumed he would do a prep year or juco, but here he talks about still wanting to play for the Cards

Saw him play for Western at Bellarmine last night

Big time work in progress, at best. Honestly, he wasn’t even the best player on the floor. Derek Willis, the sophomore from Bullitt East, stole the show. Taylor played limited minutes due to foul trouble, and complained to the refs more than he played defense.

We don't need any of that. No more prima donnas please!

If this team has taught us anything, it is that a team that plays together without the typical egos and complainers is the way to go.

Zakem2002...

I am assuming this was the first time you have seen Ryan Taylor play? If not, and you still have that to say, you have seen things different than I have. Taylor is a great SF target… he is the type of player that goes hard after loose balls and will grab that rebound… He has been tearing it up.

And the Prima Donna dont really fit either… hes a hard worker.

He had a rough game against Bullit East, but has been stellar most of the year. His game against Central was pretty bad ass.

You are absolutely right. Friday was my first opportunity to see Taylor live, and I am making all of my comments based on that game. I was fairly surprised at his showing after things I had heard from the fanbase, but I am willing to chalk his mediocre play up to a bad night and will look forward to seeing his progression in the future.
