Cards have smash mouth practice on Wednesday
Louisville's fifth practice of the spring focused on being physical, and that's exactly what happened on Wednesday afternoon in the Trager Practice Facility. The Cardinals conducted a 25-period practice indoors and really put the focus on making the offensive and defensive lines being tough upfront.
"It was a really physical practice," junior tight end Stephon Ball. "We put our goal line setting in. There are only three of us tight ends so we play whether it's ones or two's, we're always going. It was a real tough practice."

So much will ride on this year's defense
I’m nervous about all the injuries, but at least we’re still 5 months from the first game. It’s good to get the 2nd stringers lots of reps, I suppose, but our D-line is going to really have to produce this year because I don’t think the offense will score a lot of points. I think we’re a year away from an explosive offense. This will be a nail-biter season, I bet… lots of games won/lost by 3 or 4 points. Bridge year? Might be.
