Blackshear will give it a go

According to those in Chicago, Wayne Blackshear is dressed out and will try to play in tonight's McDonald's All-American game.

Keep it safe, young man.

I mean, his name is Kabongo

I’m pretty upset I won’t get to type his name in open threads the next four years.

Gorgui isn't to be messed with.

He told my friend as he left Denver he wasn’t coming back because he is tired of being treated like a slave.
Gorgui!
Son!

I mean I wasn't there, but her husband said he was sure he was joking.

TJ then stepped in and said shut up Gorgui, your daddy the mayor or your village, you ain’t gonna walk on rose petal everywhere you go anymore.

Being a uofl fan

Blackshear is obviously hurt out there

Behanan is slow as shit on defense.

Both are showing greatness still

However anthony Davis is really good I like that kid he’s ready for college and ready to be a badass in college. Crap I’m talking good bout a uk recruit. Oh well

by gary west on Mar 30, 2011 10:46 PM EDT via mobile reply actions

They don't want to play defense, they want to get out on fast breaks.

And to his credit Behanan is an undersized 4 guarding a 5 who is 5 inches taller.

He showed a super-quick first step on a drive early

Looked like he went a little bit tentatively to the hoop though, probably due to the shoulder.

by bartenpa on Mar 30, 2011 10:49 PM EDT up reply actions

I agree about Chane

He is really slow in transition. Not sure you can really tell in this game but its nothing a little Ricky P conditioning wont take care of…

Wiltjer is smooth

Damn it. Why couldn’t he have up at Duke with the rest of the talented white guys…

Lol

Somebody get jay Williams to tell that kid behind him you don’t button the top button of a polo shirt.

Charlie Strong does

It’s now acceptable to me, but I don’t practice it myself.

I forgot how boring this game is.

Time for a nap before work.

He needs to stay off the court. Obviously he’s good enough to start injured. But by the way he was holding his arm on the court he needs to keep his ass on the bench

rivers

is a good player but he acting like kobe, trying to get the mvp. Always asking for the ball and never giving it up.

I fucking hate college basketball.

Get the Wildcat cock a littler deeper in your throat, ESPN. Maybe then you’ll shut up about them.

Sorry for the graphic outburst, but I (stupidly) watched the BET Championship game earlier today. Then I saw the awful back-and-forth between the All-Americans a couple posts back. I could pretty much vomit and crawl in a hole until football season right now.

by CARD_G6 on Mar 30, 2011 11:08 PM EDT reply actions

Halftime

I’m having fun watching and cheering for kids I’ll grow and learn to hate within the next 2-4 years. Perfect example that bigass kid going to PITT. I saw his block and was like “boom bitch!!!”. Then the mention he’s going to PITT and I was like “crap he’s gunna do that on us for seemingly the next 6 years”

by gary west on Mar 30, 2011 11:09 PM EDT via mobile reply actions

Based on what I've seen

a.) unless you are a guard, you’re not going to get huge numbers in this game cause most of these guards have a shoot first mentality.

b.) Compared to everyone else in the lane, Behanan looks small. Might just be indicative of the competition cause he was getting outmuscled and moved by the bigger players going for rebounds. He seems to run the floor well when he wants to, but doesn’t move on defense AT ALL. But this is just an exhibition game, Rick won’t let his ass get away with that once he is on campus.

c.) I’m going to go ahead and assume Blackshear is done for the day, might have been reinjured when he was fouled (but not called, typical) going to the basket.

Oooooh shit

Hirt range jumper to a sick ass block. Injured blackshear we needed you against MSU

by gary west on Mar 30, 2011 11:31 PM EDT via mobile reply actions

Blackshear with a nice J and then a block on the other end.

Only decent thing I’ve seen all game for us. What number is Behanan? I thought it was 21.

by CARD_G6 on Mar 30, 2011 11:31 PM EDT reply actions

Blackshear with the nice jumpshot, and then runs back to get the great block.

Hustle in and all star game, with a separated shoulder?? I love him already.

by Kevin Spradlin on Mar 30, 2011 11:33 PM EDT reply actions

Yes Behanan is 21 as well.

Was it Chane that got blocked, the announcer said “Behanan with the block on the other end.” Wasn’t sure if he meant Blackshear or if he meant Behanan got blocked.

Just got home in time to see the end

Wayne = 34 and not on the floor?

Both of them are #21? Cool, makes it east to remember what number to look for

They’re cool now. Gilchrist will hate him once they get him in Lexington and he see how boring it is and they brainwash him to make him think everything wrong is Louisvilles fault..haha..poor bastards

I expected more rebounds for Chane considering all the missed shots. Oh well, it's not like anyone was trying to box out.

At least Teague looked like a giant bag of ass holes. He turned it over a lot and didn’t play that much.
Davis looked the part though. Can’t wait for Gorgui and TJ introduce him to the college game.

Well I'm pissed.

I hate my job. I’m retired from my first job and just trying to get a little supplemental income to bolster my pension. I don’t need this shit.

I’m on call one week out of 12, and wouldn’t you know it would be this week. About 9:30 I got paged with a problem that couldn’t be fixed remotely, had to drive 45 minutes to work, park 5 blocks away, walk in the rain to the data center, reboot a network appliance, check it out to make sure it was working, walk back to my car and drive home. Got back with about 10 minutes left in the game; I don’t think I saw Blackshear at all, although I did see Behanan do a nifty behind-the-back dunk.

Did I mention that I hate my job?

"Screech, you CAN'T elope!"

Then you didn't miss anything because Wayne only played a few minutes and Chane only got the ball like 3 times when he ran the floor.

You saw the best Louisville play of the night with that dunk. Other than that Wayne had a nice block, a couple of steals and he knocked in a mid-range J.
You can watch it all again on ESPN3 tomorrow.
