"I thought T.J. looked stupid, I thought Chris looked stupid and I thought Peyton looked extra, extra stupid in that tight uniform. I’ll never wear it."

Those unis were very, VERY tight....

the guys with unbelievable upper bodies (shoulder-to waist ratio) looked slightly super-human …
like Chris Smith

it might be a functional thing

i mean, no one was going to pull Siva’s jersey last night, right?

Also makes sliding across the floor on your belly much easier...

That's the reason volleyball players wear spandex

and I don’t hear anyone complaining about that … just sayin’

Definitely no complaints

Unless I have a daughter… then she won’t be playing volleyball. LoL

In 1980, you would have looked at today's shorts and said they looked like split skirts.

Styles change. If the jerseys are harder to grab, and that translates to a real advantage, everyone will be wearing them soon, and we’ll all get used to looking at them.

Agreed, but weren't the short-length changes more of a gradual thing?

It began with Jordan wearing his shorts baggy/long (I think), and the length seemed to gradually increase until the Fab Five popularized the “skirt” look. Still, I don’t remember thinking the long shorts looked that ridiculous when they came into style. These jerseys seem like more of a shocker to me. Plus, there are plenty of guys (even basketball players) who won’t be flattered by wearing a jersey that tight.

I didn't mind how tight they were

but the teeny tiny numbers were pretty annoying.

Didn't mind the tight jerseys, though they looked to be a little too tight on Siva & Smith

The only issue I saw was the lack of uniformity in…the uniforms. The tight ones didn’t match the regular unis in a few different areas aside from the obvious bagginess, i.e. trim/piping, letter size, number size, etc…and that’s pretty bush league. My Tuesday night indoor soccer team has matching tops. C’mon man.
