PS I Love You

Where have I heard that before? Sounds strangely familiar. Anyway, it is great to see Peyton Siva playing so well. Last night against Providence he personally had as many assists (7) and steals (3) as the entire Providence team. Further, no Providence player got more rebounds than Peyton (6), he shot 50% from the field including a 3, and all with only 1 turnover. Outstanding. Not taking anything away from the night Preston and Kyle had either, but I am hoping Peyton is the super quick, great passing and ball handling press breaking floor leader that UL has always seemed to lack (and the kind of player that we always had a terrible time trying to defend). His quickness and ability to penetrate and either score or pass to an open shooter is a huge asset to this team. They call this "the ability to create" because it creates a lot of great options for your team and lots of teammates have benefited from his play this season.

If he continues to work hard and improve (especially his outside shot and free throw shooting) I truly believe that he has a chance to be one of the elite Cardinal players of all time. And looking at next years recruiting class, he should have lots of options down low to really show his stuff.

I am really looking forward to seeing him in that Cardinal uniform for the next two years. GO CARDS!
