Blackshear injured, will likely miss McDonald's All-American game
On the same day he was named a first team Parade All-American, Louisville signee Wayne Blackshear injured his shoulder during practice for the McDonald's All-American game and will now definitely sit out tonight's slam dunk and skills competition. He will also almost certainly miss the game itself on Wednesday. This news according to multiple media members in Chicago for the event.
There has been no definitive statement on what Blackshear's actual injury is, other than the widespread claim that it "looked pretty bad."
I finally watched The Road last night. I envy the world of that man and boy.

I agree with Chick-Stratino'sUrDaddy in an earlier post.
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO MORE FUCKING INJURY REPORTS!!!!!!!
I CAN’T TAKE THIS SHIT!!!!!!!!
HE’S NOT EVEN ON CAMPUS YET AND WE’VE ALREADY SEEN HIM TAKE A BAD FALL, SPRAIN HIS KNEE, AND NOW HURT HIS SHOULDER!!!!
No puedo soportarlo más!!!!!!!
I don’t know who the coach is for this game but I hope he puts him on ice. I don’t even care if I don’t get to see him play on Wednesday.
I don’t.
I just want to see him get here healthy and stay that way.
Welcome to the Ville, Wayne...................

At least we now know it's not Pitino
For years I’ve wondered if he runs these kids into the ground in his practices. Why else would we have so many injuries on a yearly basis?
I’m usually not superstitious, but there IS definitely something otherworldly going on here.

I know T-Will's sideline dance against Arizona didn't exactly please the basketball gods...
But this has gotten completely out of hand. The only possible explanation is that we are being punished with 2.5 years of excruciatingly bad karma before we are rewarded in 2012 with a national title.

"bad" shoulder injury before he steps on
Campus? Rick will paralyze him.

I also feel bad
for Wayne. He said it was a dream come true to play in this game in his hometown. He wanted to put on a show.
Son of a
I’m going to find whichever one of you (as in Cardinals fans at large) did whatever you did to so completely piss off the basketball gods, and I’m going to hurt you. Really hurt you. You’ll beg for death, but it will not come soon.
Enough of this shit already. E. Nough.
Probably one of the UK fans
from backwood Louisiana or somewhere who successfully practices voodoo…
sending this crap our way for the gnomes…
This sucks
I was really looking forward to watching this tonight. I really wanted something to be excited about at OUR university. Bleh

This shit feels like sabotage now.
Our team got decimated with injuries, and then after the corpse of team was laid to rest in Denver after a final F U to Preston!, then go after the recruits and now they are being picked off. This really should be some suspense thriller movie.
My God, I don't know what to say? I wrote a "Cheer Everyone Up" post yesterday but Chick-Stratino is only one man.
I can put no spin on this; other than to say I think I now know what it would feel like to have your balls slammed in a car door without actually having it happen. The word “Frustration” doesn’t even come close to describing where my College Basketball feelings are right now.

Wait...
People considered rooting for the West Team? The one which Marquis Teague is a part of? That’s disappointing…

Blackshear was on that team
but the players are spread out, UK players are on both teams, but now only 1 team has a UofL player
I don't know what these guys are majoring in, but it needs to be pre-med.

need an ER physician and several Orthopedic specialists on the team
to even come close to surviving this plague of injuries to the athletics department. I wonder if it might be something in the water.
That's it!! UK fans put something in the Ohio River to weaken bone strength.
Clever Bastards must have people on Lake Michigan too.

Hey, Meth baby, yes I'm talking to you "kywineman," stop being a sore winner. It's A-holes like you that make Louisville fans root for your players to fail when they seem to be good kids who are working their tails off to win.
Stop being a …..

So just enough an injury to sideline him for the week's activities
but not inhibit him long term. Yep, this is absolutely sabotage.

Chane now dunking.
#1. Double clutch reverse. Pretty impressive for a guy that weighs over 250lbs
#2. A pretty sweet one handed swooping reverse.

Saw it too
Second one was nasty. First he just had to get one down after he missed the first. Chane is built like a… Optimus Prime? He will be a beast here.

Honestly, I don't know how that got a 65
but Chane just got robbed.
I’m pretty sure we are just seeing how deep we can dig into the ground now.
Yeah the Nash dunk
Was crap. Even more surprising that his second dunk that round scored 7 points lower. I thank the judges because Chane likely would have suffered a freak injury in the next round.
by Get_In_My_BELLY_ on Mar 28, 2011 9:08 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
Ok, Nash just jumped OVER someone his height and dunked it and got a 63
which is a lower score than his straight dunk that got a 65. The judges are blind, old, or just dumb
If Coach K manages to collect all the Plumlee Brothers
will he finally be able to form Captain Planet?
That was cool.
But I think having 85 and a ten year old is kind of an odd judging panel. I think Chane rocking the baby was better than most of the dunks. Curse you Austin RIvers!
