PrintI honestly did not think we could have came back yesterday.
I took three things from the game.
- This team can come back against any team, no matter how good. Notre Dame is a slow it down team who takes off about 25 seconds off the shot clock. Then, because they have so many shooters and ballhandlers,they can get a good shot. Similar to Drexel. In other words, they were the absolute worst team you could possibly need to come back against. Louisville has by far the most heart in the country.
- We don't have to be at home to win. We were 18-2 and undefeated in Big East play at home. We were a measly 4-6 on the road. We are 2-0 at MSG against the best competition in the country.
- Terrence Jennings deserves some credit. He also may be the key to a Final Four run. He had a good night scoring and brought down some clutch rebounds. As ususal, pressure free throws went down for him.

That is all.
OK, that’s not all, but that’s what I posted pre-game yesterday and it turned out to be right. Louisville shut ND down in the 2nd Half and OT by being much more aggressive defensively. They need to do that all 40 minutes tonight. UConn will be tired. There’s no way around that fact. Press that advantage the entire game and they will be toast late. Just like ND, only much more so because this is their 5th game in 5 days. I expect Louisville to win by 10+ in regulation. Could even be a blowout by the end.

Agree. I thought ND ran out of gas a little there towards the end.
Four of their guys played over 40 minutes (44.44.43.41). I really think the freshness and experience of our bench really made a big difference in the outcome. They may not be McDonald All-Americans but they have heart and talent. And if you are playing your 35th minute, they might just kick your butt!
Hopefully that will describe UConn in the second half tonight. Out of gas and heading home.

always seems to raise his game against Kemba. I think he’ll have a great night driving, dishing, and even scoring. Kemba’s great, but Siva’s becoming an awesome true PG! And he’s a Sophomore. Hee hee!!! We get him for 2 more years!
The thing about Siv
Is that he is such a good defender because he is quick like Edgar Sosa was on O and generally does not commit Jerry Smith fouls. He is so quick and is a pesky defender.
