PK: Me and Coach P these last couple of months, our relationship has skyrocketed. He listens to me, finally, and I always listen to him, but I didn’t want him to get any silly tech so I just had to calm him down. Try to at least.

I applauded Preston for stepping in at that moment
Glad to see him speak about it. I thought Rick was about to get himself thrown out. No way we win that game if that happens.
Knowles was every bit that a senior leader was supposed to be last night.

Yeah,I noticed that last night.
Preston not only got between them, he gently pushed the referee on his way. Very cool. Very timely. Way to mediate, Preston!
(Amazing, isn’t it, that our wild-eyed, hair-on-fire sparkplug has developed such presence of mind?)
I really wanna know what Pitino was mad about
He looked so pissed for most of that game

I think he was initially pissed about the ref not signaling timeout after Pitino called for one
But, there seemed to be something else going on there.

I think it was just an excuse to get on the refs for anything and make his presence felt
I’m sure he wasn’t happy about certain key guys getting in foul trouble, so he was just making sure the refs knew he was generally displeased with their performance. They’re probably much less likely to T him up about an argument on a timeout call than they would on an argument about foul calls.

probably still thinking about Driscoll calling KK for the T in SB
Interesting that we had both of the Irish refs we had in South Bend when we played Notre Dame again. Is the guy who assigns the refs for the BE Oliver Stone?
How funny is it
That Pitino spent an entire timeout complaining to the ref about not getting said timeout.

Yeah we were getting our asses kicked at that point-Preston really helped him out
I don’t think I have ever seen a Pitino player do that, ever.

At one point, Pitino told Driscoll: "Don't get in my face."
I seriously think the only reason he didn’t get T’d was because of the controversy surrounding the Kuric tech.
