Neither Samardo and TJ met the ballyhooed expectations on their arrival

It was Walter McCarty.I dont know anything about the ins and outs of how practice works but at least on the surface, that seems like a good theory. Maybe McCarty wasnt a good teacher.
He's been playing well
But they don’t play him much in the second half. I know he had 11 points in 12. Mins at halftime and ended up with 15.

i just think samardo's talent was seriously bottlenecked by his motivation
you can blame the coaches if you want, but ultimately its the kid who has to have the desire to be great. how many times did we see samardo pout at games, do the walk-jog down the court, and get worked on defense? then they were the reports that he didn’t even want to play basketball anymore?
in the nba he’s playing for a paycheck, and until he gets off the rookie scale that should be more than enough motivation.
