DaMarcus Smith signs with Louisville

Stay connected for news and updates

An unbelievable turn of events late on National Signing Day as Seneca High School quarterback DaMacus Smith - who some were reporting had already signed with Central Florida today, others were reporting would sign with Central Florida later today, and even more were reporting would sign with Central Florida on Friday - has signed with Louisville. This according to U of L assistant SID Rocco Gasparro.

The Elite 11 signal caller had been committed to the Cardinals for over a year, but began to waver once Miami Northwestern QB Teddy Bridgewater was able to successfully enroll early for the spring semester at U of L and Smith was forced to wait until May.

Tremendous news that I could not be happier about.

More later.

UPDATE: Jody Demling says on Twitter that according to Seneca coach Louis Dover, Smith has not signed with anyone and will still make his announcement on Friday. Very strange sequence of events here.
