Is there anyone coming to the game who has a couple extra tickets that I may purchase? Stub-hub has tons of tickets available for Fridays game, and some are less than $10 (I guess it's hard to fill up an NFL stadium). But here I find myself four days until the game and no tickets (procrastination is my specialty). Do I trust Stub-hub to deliver any tickets on time? No. Do I want to pay full price at the gate to someone wearing green and gold? Hell no. Perhaps this is where the community of Chronicloids can assist me. I would feel better if my money went to a fellow Card fan, plus I would love to legitimately sit in the away-team section for once, surrounded by my fellow Card fans as we watch our guys finally stomp the Bulls in their borrowed house. GO CARDS!
Now for your enjoyment, a slide show of one my previous trips to Ray-Jay, including a celebrity sighting...
Going to watch the Cards play USF in Raymond James Stadium has been a tradition for me since I moved to Sarasota in 2001. It's only an hour drive north on I-75 for me to get there, but the drive home has been a somber affair each and every time... so far.
This is me and my wife, Rachel, at the 2007 game. This must be before kickoff, because after Trent Guy fumbled the opening kickoff, and USF ran it in for a touchdown, we didn't smile that big for the rest of the game
These were decent seats. You can barely make out the pirate ship on the far side of the stadium.
The hideous game was making us goofy, that's for sure. But look behind us. This is the definition of USF fans: a mixture of empty seats and frighteningly unattractive people.
Guess who I ran into at the game? I was so nervous, I don't even remember consciously doing the thumbs up.
This year will be different. This year I am going to yell my balls off for this team, and we are going to come out there winners. And to be sure, I recently made a purchase at Cafe Press that should seal the deal...
To borrow from what NJCard and DocCardFan posted earlier: Ray-Jay is about to be CHRON'D.
