Huge Black Friday

This season has been insane when it comes to being a Cardinal Football fan.  You've seen the ups and the downs.  You've seen us dominate UK and get beat by Marshall the next week.  You saw us come off a 3 game losing streak and fans bolting for the parking lot and dusting off their basketball gear thinking the season is over.

It is far from over now and nobody saw this coming.  This team went from turmoil to nothing but possibilities.  Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that this team picked last in the Big East and starting one of the youngest squads in the nation would be controlling its own destiny going into it's last game.

Lets rewind to a few weeks ago when we were going to play WVU in a hostile game with tons of controversy and hatred over the Big 12 and conference realignment.  Senators even got in the mix.  It was a crazy week and we all hated WVU more than after the 2005 overtime game in Morgantown.

With Collaros out Cinci has a tough last two games.  Our biggest competition for the big east looks to be PITT & ourselves.

This upcoming black Friday is without a doubt the most significant Friday in Louisville football history we've had in a very long time.  Our young guys have their toughest game ahead of them at USF a team that we never beat in Tampa and will also have the pressure of controlling their own destiny in a must win situation.  Then if we win at 11 am its going to be an even bigger and more nerve-racking evening when at 7pm PITT takes on the Mountaineers in Morgantown.  This is a game that WVU must win to most likely secure our place atop the Big East Conference.

It's been a wild ride this season and I've loved to hate and loved to love every minute of it.

Go Cards! and reluctantly go Mountaineers!
