Bozich gets a couple details from Jurich:
Tom Jurich told me the two coaches had a disagreement over the direction of the offense. Jurich said the decision about Sanford remaining on the staff was Strong’s decision.
Watson will still be calling plays though

I'll be surprised if Sanford is still around next Saturday

You think HCCS is pushing for resignation to avoid buying out his contract?

I don't see the point of him staying, at this point
it’s like WVU’s horrible decision to keep Stewart for a year after firing him, with his replacement working beneath him. Get it over with. Oh, and give our skill players a chance. Use no-huddle and quick passes to set up the run. Who cares if the OL gets tired, they’re not blocking anything, anyway. Seriously, we are now halfway through October and I can’t remember a SINGLE play that Jeremy Wright, Victor Anderson, Josh Bellamy, Eli Rodgers, Devante Parker or Michaelle Harris ran free for more than 10 yards. Absolutely mind blowing how bad our OL has been at giving the backs a sliver of daylight and the play calling utilizing our biggest strength: an embarassment of riches at WR with two QBs capable of getting them the ball consistently. Use Bridgewater’s quickness to buy the extra couple of seconds to get people open. And quit with the freakin option that always ends with our prized QB diving head first into two LBs for a meaningless yard

OK let's look at what Jurich said
If that’s true, then it sounds like they had a fight over the offense and it’s still not fully settled. If it was settled, then Sanford would be out of there already. My bet is Strong told him he wanted to try it Watson’s way and Sanford pitched a fit and took his ball and went home, and that’s where it sits still. It can’t stay that way, obviously. I think he’s gone this week.
Adrian Bushell?

UL sports lists as DNP. WTF?!
Soooo….we start a true freshman on the road (Floyd) over Bushell who is SIXTH on the team in tackles? He didn’t name him as one of the defensive injuries, yet I didn’t see him step foot on the field.
Am I missing something? From what I’ve noticed the former University of Florida starter as a freshman is consistently flying around the ball. Ever since the UK game (Bushell’s first start) I’ve looked for #21 flying seemingly every play.
We could win 4 games if we:
1. Get healthy.
2. Keep D. Brown at running back.
3. Keep running a no-huddle offense the whole game.
Of course, I don’t know if we can do all those things…
Going no-huddle all game might have a degenerative effect on the learning-on-the-job OL
But it has worked relatively well in certain spots. Would love to see Stein start the game running the normal offensive scheme, then let Teddy take over in 2nd Qtr with more of a hurry-up look. May be too stressful on the OL as well, but I wonder if the transition in tempo would give the offense an advantage. Probably doesn’t matter if Watson becomes OC full time, it’ll be all Teddy all the time.
