Don't lose hope yet, Cardinals!

Holy shit, you guys are acting like the world is ending. Hear my words, Louisville fans, a Big XII invite IS COMING! I have no doubt that you guys will be joining us in the Big XII when all is said in done. I think WVU was chosen over U of L because, in the even that the SEC were to go to 16, I think the Big XII wanted to get WVU first. I don't think the Big XII would have invited WVU if they didn't intend on further expansion eastward. I believe Louisville AND Cincinatti will be joining us to create an eastern division of the Big 12. I'm so suprised that so many of you have completely lost faith.

Its easy to say from your current position.

We have been in a non-AQ conference before and came out on top. So I know we will be fine, but its hard when you feel like you have just taken a step backward.

Hope you're right. I do think it's a long way from being over.

I would bet that all three major conferences (SEC, ACC, Big12) add additional teams in the near future and I have to believe that we would be on the short list for all/most of them.

The Big 12 gave us a big hint.

The Big 12 said West Virginia’s invite IS NOT contingent on Missouri leaving the conference. That means the Big 12 is ready to go to 11 teams if Missouri, which means they’re also ready to go to 12 teams. Either way, Louisville’s in. The way I read this, the real question is about Cincinnati. They’re either the 12th team in, or the first team out, if by some outrageous fluke Missouri decides to stay put.
