Last year the soccer team didn't lose it's first game until the national championship and finished 8-0 in the Big East. They returned nearly everyone and were ranked #1 in most polls but are currently only 8-5-1 and 1-4-1 in the Big East. They've played a very tough schedule, certainly, but this is still very disappointing. I was in Louisville last year to watch most of the games but moved to St Louis in July and so haven't seen them play this year. Does anyone have any insight into why they're struggling to win games? Is it just a case of one year getting all the breaks and then the next year getting none? I've noticed that they've outshot all of their opponents - often by wide margins - in all their losses. Even so, it's hard to avoid the conclusion that they're under-acheiving.
