Is there Magic on Main Street?
How about the Yum!
The building is absolutely hopping these days. I mean, wow!
I don't care what anyone has to say about the "wine and cheese" crowd, They cant help but get up and cheer when the rest of us crazies lose it every time we knock down a 3 or throw down a jam. With 22-freaking-thousand people in that place there are now enough who know how to get loud. Our student section is Loud and rowdynow. They make enough noise to let the rest of the crowd know that they can bring it too.
So what if we don't have constant chatter or choreographed yells. We have some of the headiest, well-informed fans around. Sure we have our fair share of fairweathers and socialistas but so what. The sheer volume of hardcore lunchpail fans has made the Yum! a venue as well as a threat.
I give the boys all the credit in the world for rallying and giving us something to cheer for, but even they would say that the way that arena erupts at key times is unlike anywhere else. I for one am loving the ride this team is taking us on and I'm stoked that its all happening at the Magic Palace we bulit on Main Street.

Last night was my first game at the arena
At one point I was like “damn this place gets LOUD!!”. I unfortunately did not get to go to a whole lot of games in Freedom Hall, but i definitely saw any type of energy like that. It was awesome.
The Bucket can get loud...but only now during comebacks and big runs
The CARDS cheers that used to be unofficially done by Rob (“The Cheerleader” at Freedon Hall -when we really needed them when we were down and needed a pick-up-are simply not there anymore.
They play some music to clap to at times…but the choreography of starting the game with a roar and then cheering and creating true fun and participation as it goes on is sadly lacking. For the upper section particularly— it is cut off in effect
Yes— the student section is very loud—but it’s very small.
It’s one of the few negatives compared to Freedom Hall…the crowd is just dead a lot of the game….and commercials are stuffed into every time-out—the time when CARDS cheers used to ring out
You can't use the dash "-" on either side of a sentence fragment without a space.
If you add a space around the “dash” it can be used as punctuation, if you don’t it assumes you want to use the “strike” feature of the text editor. Check out the “Formatting Guide” located in the top right of the “Post A New Comment” block at the bottom of any thread.
For example, you probably intended:
"The Cheerleader" at Freedon Hall – when we really needed them when we were down and needed a pick-up – are simply not there anymore.

I totally agree about the upper section.
It’s strangely dark up there. And we never get to participate in any of the free stuff. Plus, cheering up there can feel awkward as hardly anyone stands up, probably for fear of tumbling down the more than 45 degree incline. And they only really get loud when we’re making a comeback.
I’ve sat in the student section too. It’s a good energy down there; better than Freedom Hall’s in my opinion. Standing (we don’t sit) in those first few rows, where you can literally reach out and touch a LadyBird, is crazy. They’re constantly loud down there. But it often feels like they’re the ONLY ones being loud. I think the rest of the arena needs to take notes, especially when the pep band’s jamming on the fight song (STUDY your lyrics, people!! They’re more important than Calculus or Philosophy ever will be).
