This was a totally great game. Kyle Kuric did win sixth man of the game. Preston(!) won MVP, but TJ was by far the best player in those final 6 critical minutes. More after the cool looking jump.
Terrence Jennings did so much right. He showed us why he deserves to be here. His clutch free throws were unlordly impressive. 4-4 from an average free throw shooter? He goes 50%, we lose. He bailed us out more than Preston(!) did. Each of the pair of free throws came off of OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS. That was one thing we were severely struggling with. He brought down a very good 8 rebounds, 4 def. and 4 off. He also had a CLUTCH block on a Marquette player who made probably the most boneheaded decision I have ever seen (the drive with about 18 seconds left). He didn't foul and kept it in bounds with a little help from Elisha Justice, who also deserves an article for his fantabulousness but I will leave that up to you, Mike. I'm watching.
TJ won the game, and this looks like the end of his slump. GO CARDS, 18 points doods.
By the way, this is why Rick is our coach. Drew up a play at the end, and it worked. Great stratermagy all the way through, especially with the Justice foul.
Go Cards.
