NEW MOTTO FOR CARDINAL FANS "FINISH"
I was heart broken over the loss yesterday. The game started off about as badly as I could have ever imagined. The difference, however, in this team versus last years team wasn't how the game started. It was THE FINISH. This team "played it's balls off" all 4 quarters. That in itself is a victory.
The disappointment I had, didn't come from the field yesterday. It came from the stands. We were still in that game even at the 4 minute mark and I saw people leaving. THAT IS INEXCUSABLE. The crowd yesterday was the loudest I've heard or seen in a long time. I just felt like after that field goal and the kick off all those people that left, just QUIT, when the team needed them the most. So I am saying to all cardinal fans that we need a new motto this year and that motto is simply "FINISH" just "FINISH". You want the players to compete for 4 quarters...... CHEER THEM ON FOR 4 QUARTERS.
As for the rest of the season and the future.......We are headed in the right direction. Thank you to Charlie and the Louisville Cardinal football team for all your hard work. It will pay off. GO CARDS!

As a good friend of mine always said...
Every down, every game.
FINISH was
Petrino’s saying for the football team. FINISH could never be said of fans under Krapthorpe, but from all indications, I don’t think you’ll have to tell too many fans to finish with Charlie at the helm.
I remember
when Petrino used FINISH for the team. I just want those few fans that are used to the kragthorpe days to be patient and support the whole game. We had several people in our section leaving early. Got to stick it out. The crowd over all though was Fantastic.
This team
will surprise a lot of fans who expect the same W-L record as last year. Even if we don’t make a bowl game (I think we’ll be eligible), the fight in this team vs. the last 3 years will inspire the fans who are still in that Krapthorpe-induced mode of apathy.
