Q+Q, Wroten, Hood et al
Just noticed this post. If Coach is getting Hood to come visit, doesn't that mean Coach knows Wroten will stay in Seattle?
As far as this fan is concerned, that would be a step forward in team-oriented players. I still have a bad feeling about Wroten's ego.
Q+Q? That stands for Quincy Miller and Quddus 'Deuce' Bello. THAT duo, plus our current commits, would equate to NC # 3 for Louisville. My humble opinion, of course.

Humble? Hmm, a bit premature considering Pitino's track record (SYPHER JOKE)
but you’re like, entitled to your opinion, man

slow down son..slow down!!!
I will believe Q+Q when i see it! Pitino hasn’t delivered in 9 years on these big name kids so until i see them in a cards uni the jury is still out for me. When we do get a kid he’s ineligible or tears a ACL or has somekind of drama with a girl or there hair brushes..etc..etc.. Lets don’t put the cart before the horse…i holla at ya.. (see recent news with Russ Smith) not even in a warm-up yet and sidelined for 8-12 weeks
Agreed
He hasn’t put together a stellar class in the entire decade he has been here. Hate to be pessimistic, but can’t deny the facts. I’ll believe it when I see it as well.

QQ & Russ Smith
Let’s hope Coach P comes through in a big way with the Q & Q connection. Coach Fuller is the man. (sure hope he’s playing by the rules)
As far as Russ Smith goes… it seems like he might be a little accident prone. If you remember, he was banged up in the Derby classic. Sometimes foot injuries can be pretty serious. Sure hope not. But he does get prop’s for wearing the Uof L cape when he came out for introductions at the Derby Classic.
No, I don't think you should assume that Coach knows Wroten will stay in Seattle.
Just because Hood is scheduled to visit doesn’t necessarily mean the Pitino knows Wroten won’t choose Louisville. At the most, you could argue it suggests that, but I wouldn’t even go that far.
The Scout.com article you cited is dated from Thursday the 23rd. Wroten hadn’t finished his tour of Louisville by the time that article was written. If Coach knew he wasn’t coming, he wouldn’t have wasted his time hosting Wroten.
I think Coach is just taking a different approach to recruiting. In previous years, we’ve concentrated on recruiting a few key players that would dramatically help our team, only to see them not come through and fully commit. I think Coach is not taking any more chances. Instead, he’s actively recruiting as many players as possible regardless of their position. Therefore, if one drops out, then he’s still got another player in that position who can come help the team.
I like this new approach. Not only do I think it makes us more likely to get good players for our positions, it incentivizes players to commit early. If players who are considering playing for us realize that their position is threatened by another good player, they’re more likely to commit. Having that second recruit interested in playing for us increases the value of playing for us in the eyes of the top recruit. Because there is competition for the spot on our team, the spot on the team is viewed as more valuable.
As for Wroten, here are the five schools he says he’s currently deciding among and what he has to say about them:
Seattle University – “Coach Cameron Dollar.”
Villanova – “Great offense and the Big East.”
Washington – “I love my city.”
Louisville – “One of the best coaches in the country.”
Connecticut – “I always wanted to play with Kemba Walker.”
We’ll have to wait for Oct. 7th to know for sure.
pitino needs time to get young players playing awesome
and guys like miller and bello are one and done .. if pitino is to win a title with these guys then he will need to do it in 2011 .., but then again good news for louisville and uk is the nba will have that player agreement and if you are not in the top 15 to 20 in the draft you wont be making the crazy loot these guys leave early for.. they might wanna stay a extra year or so to up their stock…the next few years could have the state of ky with multiple title contenders… that is after this year anyways

Thu tweets flurry
Almost all the players I follow became very active in twitter today. (I follow only our active recruits and active players.)
Wroten is overgeeked over all the attention, yet still demanding more. I like what I see from Quincy though. He and Siva definitely like to heckle ea other.
Bello is at Baylor at this time.
Very interesting: Benehan came out of a 2 week twitter hiatus to immediately reply to a s/o from Quincy.
