The Cards would hold their own in the SEC

Let's hope if the expansion continues in the Southeaster Conference  the Cards will be considered for inclusion in the SEC.

There is no doubt they would hold their own in the majority of the sports.

Basketball. Yes

Women's Basketball. Yes

Baseball. Yes

Swimming. Yes

Tennis. Yes

Football. As well as the bottom four in the division.  Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

Louisville would bring a challenge to the Cats as other instate rivals do in the SEC. Auburn, Alabama. Tennessee and Vanderbilt.  Mississippi State and Ole Miss.

And the ability to recruit SEC quality athletes would help the Cards in football.

I don't mean add the Cards just to challenge the Cats.  Add them to upgrade the conference overall. They would definitely jump to the top four in basketball.  And the other afore mentioned sports would only lift the SEC in overall sports compitition.
