Behanan, Bello, Price and Miller all attending the Louisville/Kentucky game
According to Jody Demling.
Beyond the outcome of this Saturday's football game, this weekend could have huge implications for our basketball program's future. The CJ is reporting that Chane Benehan has canceled his scheduled visit with Huggins and those dirty moutain folk to the northeast in order to officially visit Louisville this weekend. This is admittedly pure speculation, but the idea of the four of them visiting on the same weekend lends me to believe that they could envision what the 4 of them, in addition to Blackshear, could accomplish at UofL i.e. knock the smug grin of off every UK fan's willfully ignorant face and compete for a championship.
Theoretically, if Rick is able to land 3 out of 4 of these guys in addition to Blackshear, the UofL -UK game in 2011 would most likely have maybe one or two starting players above the age of 19. And thats a big maybe. Again, I admit this is a bit optimistic but a part of me thinks that with a win in the Governors Cup under the guidance of HCCS and the 4 of these 5-star players getting to witness the victory and the Louisville fanbase leads them to sign with UofL and thus ignites our rise back to the top in both football and basketball.
It all starts with a victory this weekend. Let's take care of business and beat the SEC bottom dwellers. Go Cards.

you forgot Josiah Turner he's another top 25 guy that will be visiting
I really believe excluding Price because he’s already committed we get 3 of the 4… I think this visit seals the deal for Chane behanan, I think Duece already wants to commit and a weeked in the city ends his recruitment with a verbal to Louisville , I think Quincy Miller keeps us in suspense for a couple of weeks but eventually commits. Now Josiah Turner is the one I think we miss out on. Rick and staff have made a good late push for him but he’s a west coast guy and I think he stays out west (hope im wrong). Thats were I think Rick turns to Kedren Johnson to complete this class. Wayne Blackshear 5*, Quincy Miller 5*, Duece Bello 4*, Chane Behanan 4*, Zach Price 4*, and Kedren Johnson 4*, easily a top 3 class.
I'm wondering what Rick is thinking about a PG in the 2011 class
Obviously getting a PG in this class was a priority for him at one point, but I’m not so sure it still is. From our roster, I think getting solid wings should be a much higher priority right now than securing a PG for 2011. That’s why I don’t know if he will go after this 3rd or 4th choice PG (Kedren Johnson) if he can’t bring in an elite point guard (Turner).
I honestly don't think we need a point in this class
Getting one would be great but we still would have SIva. He will still be here next year and for most likely the year after that. Can you imagine a veteran Siva leading possibly the number 2 recruiting class in the nation with a senior Jennings, senior Swop, and junior Rock???? This could be a very scary team.

i'm pretty sure
you owe kyle kuric an apology for leaving him out. and possibly a happy belated birthday.
I considered mentioning him and Marra
But I feel that if we get all of these big names their playing time will be significantly less. I would hate to see that happen but that’s the game. I can agree with your second part though. Happy Belated Birthday Kyle!!!

Word is that Blackshear
will also be in town for the game. That’s six big time recruits in one weekend.
At least
they will see how stupid UK fans are and avoid that fate.

yep because "stupid" uk fans
have scared away the best recruits so far… i mean no kid would want to be at uk…. who has the #1 recruiting class again?… and just got a verbal from a top 25 pf that already puts them with their 3rd #1 recruiting class… yep we stupid uk fans are just so sad that we are striking out on recruits

you guys hold on to that most recent final 4
ill take the most recent title, head to head wins, MORE final 4’s , better current tourney finish, better recruits, currently better ranked team… believe me the final 4 drought will be ending shortly… so stay tuned
"UK ....enough said"
UK has 2 Championships under Modern Day Rules
But hey, I’d ride out that stat too if I could. I’m young though, plenty of time to eat away at that lead…can’t happen over night.
actually 3 but i guess 1978 is
so much older then 1980…but anyways i was talking recruiting.. it was the cards fan that tried to knock uk because of our final 4 drought so i reminded him of the cards title and title game drought

we have tons of Pgs
Siva (SO), Russ Smith(FR), Justice(FR), Mark Jackson Jr(FR), and Chris Smith(JR) is a combo guard…
Don’t kid yourself on Justice because hes a white kid from Ky… the kid can play ball…
Russ Smith isn’t shabby…
and from what Mark Jackson Jr says… he avg about 32points/game in AAU…. i know that’s not what you want in a PG but that’s what hes bringing…
Not to mention if we land all these players… who needs a true point guard? they are all athletic enough to get things done on their own… granted it takes a team to win and a good pg to run a team… we will see what happens down the road!
chillin villian
Quincy Miller
Quincy Miller seems like a guy who likes attention. If he really, truly wanted to be innovative, he would make a pronouncement that he will sign with the winner of the UK/UL football game. Think about it: in the annals of college basketball signings, nobody has ever done THAT. He’d be the first to do something unique and it would add about 10x intrigue to the game. I mean, after all, UofL isn’t ranked in the preseason Top 10, so even if go undefeated, they won’t play in the national championship game. So why are we watching anyhow?
no offense
but that’s an absolutely horrible idea

Setup for another letdown
Wake me up when one of these guys is actually dressed in a Louisville uniform and eligible. Then I can get excited.

Isn't this
enough to get excited about?! I mean, sure Cardinal fans have been let down by recruits before, and don’t get me wrong, it has hurt. But this day, September 4th 2010, a day before my birthday, could mean something more for the University of Louisville than ever before? I’m so excited for what’s to come. Go Cards!
