Strong's first two practices will be open to the public
Great news for U of L football fans as head coach Charlie Strong announced yesterday that Louisville's first two practices - scheduled for Thursday of next week - will be open to the public.
"We're going to open up here in a few days, actually a week from Thursday, and we'll have our first two practices open," Strong said. "That's for the fans so they get a chance to come out and watch the guys. They'll be able to watch some of those guys we've been fortunate enough to sign. That'll give our fans a chance to see our good football team."
It had previously been said that all fall practices would be closed to the public.
So that's the good news, here's the bad news: the first practice of the season is scheduled for 5 a.m. But now, out-of-nowhere, I'm coming back and hitting you with some more good news: the second will be at 5 p.m.
The first practice will supposedly feature the freshmen, while the veterans will take the field in the afternoon.
Should be worth taking in.

I'm on paternity leave for 2 weeks
Since I don’t have to go into work, I may be able to make it to the 5am practice. Anyone else plan on going? Tailgate in the parking lot beforehand? :)
If I wake up I might be there, just to say I went to a 5 am practice back when our football program reemerged from the dark ages.
They gone have to stop sleeping on me one day.. I gotta be one of the best
