If loving him is wrong

I don’t wanna be right. Mancrush… check. National Championships on the horizon… check. Some seriously bad-ass football players in red & black…. check.

Anybody else love that he talked about...

Winning Championships, Academic Performance, and that guys were spending a lot of time with the strength coaches? I know I’m being optimistic, but he seems to be saying all of the right things. Guy is funny too.

He is abolutely the right fit for this program.

He’s a winner on the recruiting scene, he’s a winner on putting together a great staff, he spent x amount of years coaching along side a winner in Urban Meyer at Florida, he displays the type of ambition that absolutely suggests he wants to rebuild this program and compete for a National Championship.

Only question left is can he coach at the head position? I’m betting on an emphatic YES.

One other question.

Assuming the first question (and subsequent answer) are true, how long does he stay here?

I think it depends on what position we are in (aka timing)

If Strong does a bang-up rebuilding job and we are back toward the top position in the Big East in 3 years (but not in the talk for a national title and only a BCS hopeful) I think we are apt to lose him. I think this especially depends on who comes calling (nobody could fault him if he went back to Florida) and Louisville’s conference BCS picture.

However, I don’t think Strong is the Brian Kelly type, where he would consider leaving a team that has a chance to play for the BCS Championship. I think if Strong believes he is poised to win the BCS Championship here at UofL, there is no way he’d leave.

That said, we’ve got a LOT of football to play before losing Strong is even a worry for me.
