coleman or no?
I never heard any official word on if Justin Coleman was ineligible or not. Does anyone know for sure or are we all still waiting to hear. I knew Pitino said it was a long shot, but I saw the dude play and he is could be a very nice player.
I need more words, so....Buckles is gonna be a stud...Siva too. I'm really looking forward to this year even though some might not be. I'm also really looking forward to cardinal football...charlie strong seems to be what this team and fans need right now

sources??
I’ve never heard of a rule of a student being ineligible for 6 games??? I know a player can become eligible during the second semester.
Nothing seems to be for sure yet. I’ll take a prop 48 from that kid. I’m hoping the worst case scenario is, we get him on campus and he would be a soph in 2011-2012. The bad news is, as a prop 48, you CANNOT practice with the team
I may have worse news
"I’ve been to Tennessee, Kentucky, Louisville, South Florida and Vanderbilt," Coleman said. "Tennessee stood out the most. I like the atmosphere, and the coaches and players that are there seem to really care about you and each other. You can feel like you’re at home there. They’re a family."
Coleman talks regularly with UT secondary coach Terry Joseph and intends to visit Tennessee officially in the fall.

dont think he will play this year
that sucks for you guys because he can hoop

So the official word is...
…nobody knows. We have comments of him being ineligible for 6 games, saying he didn’t sign (which is incorrect, he DID sign a LOI, I am 100% sure of that) and comments on the DB from GA (where did that come from???).
I don’t know anymore that you guys, but to 2nd the Big Blue fan (who let him in here, lol), Coleman can certianly hoop…wish he could pass his grades too.
u might be right
but are you sure you can sign a letter of intent before you are declared eligible or not??? I hope you are 100%…cause this kid has extreme talent. It seems the bottom line here is…nobody knows for sure yet…CAN WE GET SOME CLARIFICATION HERE!!! although, kid might still be in summer school…but seems a bit late for that
I believe we'll have a better year regardless
A lot of talk (smack and otherwise) about the consensus of Louisville’s chances in hoops this year.
I don’t see where the concern is. We trimmed a lot of dead wood in waving so long to Samuels, Smith, and Sosa. All three players did squat this passed year compared to what you’d expect from them as seniors and the #1 center. Samuels looks good in his pro summer workouts, but where was any of that when he balled here save for the Notre Dame game?
As far as Sosa/Smith, more often than not they were outdone by their backups. I remember Sosa getting the shoulder-ride at the end of the 2nd Cuse victory and wondering “what the hell?” Sosa should’ve had Kuric on HIS shoulders. And Jerry was like a ghost, hanging around almost taunting us with the memory of the kind of shooter he once was. Anyway — we have young, talented, hungry kids who are ready to play. Expect a breakout season for Rock. Hopefully Swop will blossom into the player that Rick has sworn (over and over again) he’ll be. I hope to see the Preston of old. Once out of Rick’s doghouse, he should be ready to step up and lead this team. We all got a huge glimpse of what Kuric is capable of doing. Hopefully he wasn’t a one-hit wonder. And Siva — not much hoping there. I know this kid is gonna be a star. So many times he came in and showed me more in 3 minutes than Sosa the entire game. Polish his decision-making and he’s ready to run this team on the court. Marra, yea — lots of hope there. I hope he’ll come out of his shell and be the shooter everyone knows he can be. TJ — this is his chance to show us all why we felt he should’ve been a starter since his freshmen year. He’s aggressive, and has no fear. He isn’t passive in the paint like Samuels. I think he’ll prove to be the better player in the long run. Hope to see a little more of Van Treese and maybe, just maybe — we might see George Goode actually set foot on the court a time or two.
Only player we lost that I’ll actually miss is Delk.
Then we’ve got the newbies. Heard lots of great things, but we’ll have to wait and see with them.
Either way, I believe this will be a better season than last.

oh yea i agree louisville will be better
then last year,BUT for louisville to be a big east title contender then jennings, swop, and silva must improve productivity and pitino needs to cut down on his line up switching and subs

Siva will be awesome
All he needs is seasoning. Expect some WTF moments early on, but by the end of the season he should be a monster.
coach wild???
its siva…not silva…and now you are talking about the substitution patterns of the only coach in the histroy of college basketball to have taken 3 different schools to the final four. Tell me again…why are you on here UK fan???
doss ....
rick pitino himself has said he sometimes needs to leave the lineup alone and i have heard plenty of louisville fans say he subs to much… being a uk fan in louisville i actually watch both teams and have followed rick pitino’s career since his uk days, i have plenty of louisville fans friends who i talk sports so i know both sides but if you must know i am interested in louisville sports and i love the rivalry and like talking and giving my opinion on certain subjects so you not agreeing with my opinion about what pitino needs to do is fine but don’t jump my case about it

If you can't have healthy conversation, what do you have?
He’s not trolling anymore, and he’s not being an idiot, so let the man speak. It’s rare to find a UK fan willing to discuss Louisville athletics with (mostly) common sense.
1st amendment..
I’ll speak freely thank you…is he your buddy or something? Dude already took up for himself quite well I thought….maybe I’ll chime in on all ur statements as well.
jeez!
