Rumors out there that Walter McCarty may be leaving.  The unknown Twittererer ULBasketball tweeted this tonight:

And Demling seems to back up that there may be news .

I imagine Pitino would not have a hard time getting a new assistant on the team.  It is really hard to tell about what specific assistants bring to the team in terms of recruiting or player development, but I doubt it was Masiello who taught Samardo those little baby hooks in the lane last year.
