Vanderbilt broke open a 5-4 game with five runs in the top of the ninth to defeat Illinois State 10-4 Sunday afternoon in an elimination game in the Louisville Regional. This sets up a revenge Regional Final matchup this evening between the Commodores and Cardinals at Jim Patterson Stadium, which should begin @ 4:37pm local time.

If Louisville wins tonight's game, they advance to host a Super Regional next weekend. If they lose, they play Vandy again Monday night at 6pm.

Game Notes: Louisville defeated St. Louis 11-2 on Friday and Vandy 7-1 on Saturday to advance to the Finals. Vandy will look to avenge last season's 3-5 Regional Final loss to the Cards. According to Rick Bozich, former [Louisville] St. Xavier pitcher Justin Amlung will start for Louisville.
