Date, time and TV set for Louisville/Kentucky game

This year's Louisville/Kentucky football game will be played on Saturday, Sept. 4 at 3:30 p.m. and will be televised by ABC.

Love the date, love the time, love the fact that Charlie Strong already has more U of L games lined up on ABC than Steve Kragthorpe had in three years.

The game is one of three regional ABC telecasts at 3:30 that day. The other two are Michigan/Connecticut and UCLA/Kansas State.

Pretty solid news.

U of L also announced today that Louisville's Sept. 11 home game against Eastern Kentucky will also be played at 3:30 p.m. WHAS-11 will have the coverage.

The triple OT loss at WVU was televised on ABC, I think that and the Miami games have been about it.

This sucks

I’m going to miss the perfect pan brownie commercials that ESPNU provided last year’s contest.

Be There

I found a sweet website for alumni and fans alike to get tickets/travel packages to any Louisville game. The site is www.premieresports.com. It’s an awesome way to get all that you need to get to the big game.

Agreed.

This one seems like it was written by an actual person from this planet. Not a Martian struggling to learn our language.

Gah.

I am on call for my job that weekend. Figures. And with my luck someone will call with an urgent issue. I think I’m gonna have to “misplace” my phone for a few hours on that saturday.

I'm struggling

to even imagine an “urgent issue” that would be more pressing than Cards vs. Cats in the CS Era. Nope, nothing comes to mind.

Well, I work IT for a hospital, so there are things that could be pressing.

However, I’ll probably ask my secondary to cover it for that afternoon after buying my some alcohol, or a few lunches.

Wow Dude, me too

network analyst at a university hospital… fortunately there are 12 in my group and we rotate on call, so I only get it about once a quarter.

There is nowhere else to post this, so I'm going to do it in this thread

Alabama v. Penn State and Oregon v. Tennessee are being played at the exact same time for some stupid reason. It’s almost as if ESPN said, let’s put two of the biggest marquee non conference games against each other to drive the fans crazy. Non just fans, SEC lunatics. Not sure that’s a great move by the 4 letter

Goes to show you the kind of power this program and it's new coach have

The caliber of the coverage and magnitude of the press of this rivalry are dependent on what shape Louisville is in. No one wanted this game a year ago. Change the Cards’ head coach – hello again, ABC.

Question from those of us outside the Louisville "region"

Though ABC & ESPN are both owned by the same company (Disney), I doubt events broadcasted on ABC would be put online on ESPN3 (new ESPN360). Anyone know for sure?
