Justin Coleman Eligibility Status
Demling comments on Coleman's status. He needs 3 credits this summer to be eligible. Credits in reference to a HS prospect is classes. So Coleman likely needs passing grades in three courses and an overall 2.5 GPA to make it.
Not knowing his current GPA, this is great news in my book. Rarely does a recruit (who is already attending a basketball prep school) not make the grades over summer courses.
Talk about your highs and lows in one week of Louisville Basketball recruiting...things are definitely looking up now.

That stills seems like a lot of work
I wish it were college credits, because that would be easy. If this is all he needs though, I guess that’s better than needing to have an A in all of his classes spring semester.

lets see
pass three summer classes with a gpa of 2.5 and you can play ball for UofL next year,…i would have my head in a book all summer.
I saw it too.
I was going to comment asking for a link or source, but figured it was fake and decided not to bother.

Let's not forget
He’s at a prep school for a reason fellas. This is what they live to do. I think that given his history the fact that he only has 3 credits remaining to gain eligibility is a very encouraging sign. For most of these kids who come from crappy school districts and schools, it’s really a matter of teaching study and test taking skills, not general intelligence. Justin is a clearly bright and able-minded dude, and has made a lot of progress to get where he is today. If he puts in the hours, we’ll be seeing him in a Cardinal uni in no time.
I was impressed by his interviewing skills after the Derby Classic
Seemed like a well-spoken young man.
Demling quoted the H-Prep coach
It seems like he would have mentioned it if that was the case, but you could well be right.
He may very well need to take the ACT/SAT still yet...
However, I know I read that in his monitored practice test he scored in the 20s. Doesn’t sound like much danger there, though anyone can have a bad test day.

now if only...
teague decommits and goes to play overseas, that would be justice, if coleman can become eligible with Dieng, I fell even better about next year than I did before. Thank you basketball gods for shining on us even if you did rain fire and brimstone down last week
* long sigh, of relief *
Now if only someone could explain to Samardo that NBA ball is played ABOVE the rim we’d be straight.

Right.
I expect the next 11-12 days to be quite humbling for Mr. Samuels.
