High seeds have gotten a lot of calls this year.
A helluva lot. Ghost fouls in close late-game situations have been pretty ridiculous.

Siva is our best point guard. Period.

That's not totally true
The team that misses shots could offensive rebound like gangbusters, and the other team could shoot 70% but turn the ball over or not get shots off.

I have to disagree. Peyton’s play is sparatic at best. He plays well for small stretches, but not extended minutes. Don’t get me wrong; I love him and think he is going to great, but (sadly) Edgar is by far our best option at PG tonight and, assuming we can turn it around, the rest of the tournament.

I’m not trying to give you grief, I just haven’t seen you around here and didn’t know if you were aware.
I just don't think Edgar has the PG genes in him.
And I think Siva does. On a given night, either one could be better. But I’d rather take my chances with Siva.
That said, I really like Edgar and wish that he could have been a 2 guard. Here’s hoping he proves me wrong with a stunning second half.

We got some awful calls that half, but we really fucked ourselves too.
Cal isn’t very big or athletic. Get the freaking ball inside, guys. If this team has proven one thing over the course of the year, it’s that they can’t shoot consistently from the perimeter.

I think his comment is a little deeper than that.
It’s not just the threes, we never seem to have a guy that can consistently knock down a mid-range jumper. That’s not a big part of our offense, granted, but it’s becoming a big part of college basketball and it would be nice if we could catch up.

How comfortable is everybody with Knowles playing 30 minutes a game next year?
I'd rather see less of him than that
He’s a great sparkplug coming off the bench, but he doesn’t seem to play as well over a longer stretch.
I'd be more comfortable if he hadn't apparently caught whatever Jerry has.
Having both of our 2’s lose their shooting stroke was far more devastating this year than most realize.
If he gets his shot back and can work on his dribble penetration and dish more, I’ll be perfectly happy. He’s got the heart and the attitude on lock down.

Really, a team that shoots the ball well and is full of seniors is a horrible matchup for us. I think we all thought the fact they were from the Pac-10 outweighed that, but clearly it didn’t.

I wasn't watching.
But I did find it odd that when the whistle was blown and I looked up he wasn’t in the paint. Either the call was BS or really late.

They missed the 1 call at the end of the first half, but that’s really it. We can’t blame the refs every time we lose
Eh...
…no huge bad calls, but bad calls at the worst time. Two of Sosa’s three fouls were not really fouls. “Block” on Swopshire that should be a foul not called AND cal gets the ball. Just seems like every time we need a call it goes against us.

and everyone acts surprised. probably your first clue that the guy isn’t that good.
Very few fond memories of this particular team. The last game in FH is an exception.
By and large, they were just frustrating.

Since I was born in '77, I'll have to agree with you.
For me, it’s the most frustrating end since ’99 or 2000.
Seriously. After the MSU game last year, I was inconsolable for days.
This year, I feel some weird sense of relief. Let’s move on.

Ready to look forward. I tried to entertain thoughts of a post-season run as little as possible.
I couldn't stop myself from doing what I always did -- picking us to win it all.
But I told everyone who asked what I thought to pick us to lose to Cal.

These game threads have been fun
Even when we lose, it’s nice to have some other people to air my frustration to. This season was a let down, and this game fucking blew, but you guys are cool as always. Especially if you follow me on twitter.

Pitino was screaming “FOUL! FOUL!”, so the official wanted to call an intentional since Rick was asking for a foul.

These guys kinda sucked balls tonight. They’d fit in with the rest of the Big east refs.

You failed to give SS and TJ enough time on the floor together.
You created distractions around your program.
And you got out coached by two bit coaches with less talent.
But something tells me that these issues are not what you will be addressing.
