Bobby Gonzalez fired from Seton Hall
Props to the eight billion people that labeled Gonzalez's offseason contract extension a mistake
Still unconfirmed, although sources at SHU are saying it's true.
Apparently, the administration was fed up with the off-court antics. Oh by the way, Herb Pope was ejected from last night's NIT game for punching a kid in the groin.
Not to kick a guy when he's down, but I really have no sympathy for Bobby Gonzalez. We usually had a tough time facing his team, but I despised him for his antics and overall thought he was low-class. So did SHU, apparently. And that might be fine when you're winning championships (Calhoun), but not when the NIT this past year is your first postseason play.

Biggest issue of all — Is the Gonzo Ball blog going to keep the name? I see an identity crisis coming.
Actually Gonzo Ball beat you to it (minus the hyphen).

Lutz was a pretty good coach and a good guy.
He’ll land on his feet, whereas Gonzo is more likely to land on his head. What a nut case.

The most amazing thing? This isn't the biggest news to come out of the Seton Hall program today.
