Im thinkin no

Its on a Saturday, during the day against the #1 team in the land. Im sure there will be plenty of things to keep the crowds attention. Im also willing to wager its gonna be LOUD.

So yeah this one could be an epic way to end the Cards tenure at the hall…cant wait!

Wanna wager a bet?

These old folks don’t give a damn if it’s the last game and who it’s against. They just wanna get home for their afternoon tea or their 4:00 supper

They gone have to stop sleeping on me one day.. I gotta be one of the best

Love your jaded sensibility

Maybe all the old ticket holders (you know the the Depression era folks, now the baby boomers, and even the thirtysomethings who swore they would never become their parents…) will eventually all start getting there early and stay through the end of the game with the new arena. I would hope with places to eat/drink/shop and just walking around downtown will make people realize they should make a full day or evening of things. The location won’t be an excuse next year. Where are these people going when they leave the game early? I mean (no offense) it’s Louisville not New York or London. I think the game is one of the biggest things going on any day of the week. Just sayin’.

They'll still use the location as an excuse.

“Honey, hurry up we have to get out of the parking garage before the line gets too long”
“Woman, get yer ass in gear I wanna hit the highway before everyone else”

“Why was I 10 minutes late? Because I had to park a 10 minute walk away, jeez!”

im not a betting man

I just have faith that the “magic” I grew to love regarding FH will grace it one last time…

Sneakin' in

Now that they’re scanning tickets, does anyone know a way to sneak in? There’s no way I can miss this game.

by centrecard on Mar 1, 2010 2:57 PM EST reply actions

Well...

I had student tickets for six years, but was able to get family/friends into the game with old, unused tickets (even old football tickets). The kids at the gate paid absolutely no attention to the specifics of the ticket, and there were always a few empty seats in the rafters.

ah makes sense

that takes nerve though! i’d be freakin nervous as hell

I was not the only one doing it...not even close.

And what’s the worst thing that can happen? Just go home and watch it on TV.

Yeah i had a buddy that did that, worked everytime.

game'll be better

if we start the week off with a win at marquette.
rather go into Saturday riding high, feeling confident and not feeling like our backs are against the wall. We can definitely beat Syracuse, but it’ll be easier if we don’t have to.

Latest Bracketology

has us @ an 8 seed v No. Iowa in Kansas’ bracket.

Wouldn’t it be great to sweep this week, reedeem ourselves against WVU, Pitt, or GTown and jump to a 5 or 6 seed.

I really hope that we don't end up in that position

I would rather not face the plucky mid-major, and then the best team in the country. That’s just me.

I think this year

is gonna be interesting, more so than most years.

The field is flat after the top 4 or so teams, end even they’ve had some head scratchers.

Interesting...my instant reaction agrees with you

But…I feel like this particular Louisville team outperforms when they have no business winning the game. I think if we hear someone say “Louisville has one of the toughest roads to the Final Four” on Selection Sunday then our team will have a better shot at getting there.

Agreed

This team seems to play to the name on the jersey. Whether its performing up to Cuse or UConn or down to St Johns or Seton Hall.

by mageezy on Mar 1, 2010 4:56 PM EST up reply actions

I think we'll end up a 7 seed

with a chance of a 6 seed if we beat Cuse

by Centre24 on Mar 1, 2010 5:42 PM EST up reply actions

If we end up an eight or nine seed,

I hope it’s in the bracket where Kentucky is the one seed. I think that would be a terrific way to end their season.
