good recruiting class
If moments after the Rutgers game (note, you would have found me at Churchill by then) you told me that our recruiting class would border top 40, we'd steal two recruits from UGA, sign a 4-star WR, a very athletic QB for a new spread offense, and that we'd be missing out on recruits to the likes of LSU and not ULL, I'd have taken it in a hearbeat.
All things considered, its frustrating thinking that we missed out on Wilson (has this been officially confirmed?) and Chandler, Patterson, and Boone. But with what we've taken, we have some playmakers and guys that can come in and make an impact. It's a very strong class considering that CCS didn't piece together his staff until less than a month ago.
My hope is that UL has a good to very good season (I'm hoping for 8-4 or better), and CCS can build off that momentum and snag us a top 25ish class next season, with one full year to talk to recruits.
Perhaps a mildly disappointing end to the recruiting season, but overall a very good class considering this team has gone a collective 15-21 over the last three years.

Disappointing? Hardly.
We got all but one of our commits, and we picked up a surprise in Preston(!) Brown. We have two four-star recruits and a plethora of three-stars. Sure, it could have been better. So could anybody else’s class. I’ll take these.
I wonder, what is the highest-rated recruiting class Louisville has ever had?
i think Bobby's last full class was 26th..
I say it was disappointing because I didn’t expect to lose Wilson, and I thought we’d get Chandler, based on the opinions of some sources at ITV. I guess news for D. Brown had already come out, so the only new changes for signing day were not signing Wilson, Chandler, Boone, or Patterson, but picking up P. Brown.
I’m not disappointed at all with the class as a whole, just that I was disappointed Wilson and Chandler didn’t sign with us, given how many people thought they would.
your right this is far from disappointing........
considering our class under Krags was heading more toward a mid 70 ranking… This was a hell of a job by CCS….Its scary to think what next years class will be like being that he’s now got his staff in place and a full year to recruit….
Does more than put studs on the field.
We may not have gotten everyone we wanted on the field but I think we will have everyone we want in the stands. And that is a giant testament to the job Coach has done in a very short amount of time. Fan and alumni support will augment 2012 recruiting and beyond.
