Card Chronicle Georgetown game contest

All right, it's time to reward the weekend Chronicloids.

First prize is two tickets to the second-to-last game ever at Freedom Hall against Georgetown Tuesday night.

The question is simple: What will be the total number of combined points scored in the Arizona/Arizona State and Duke/Virginia Tech games tonight?

Not the total number of points from each game. We want one number. So if you you think the final for the first game will be 75-70, Arizona, and the second 80-65, Duke, then your answer is 290 (I think).

UA/ASU tips at 5:30 ET, so only answers posted before that time will be accepted.

Good luck.

what a stupid guess

I did 3 seconds of math before scrolling down and looking at the guesses and picking something in the middle. I suck at contests

For the record

There will be a potential tiebreaker question. So if someone has already guessed your number, feel free to go ahead and pick it anyway.

Hope this isn’t like the showcase showdown on The Price is Right!

My first instinct was to guess $1

Evidently I watched too many game shows as a kid. Sigh.

I live in Texas, so if I should win I’ll give ‘em to my favorite Chronicloid who doesn’t already have tickets.

U of A

People I knew from there called it the U of A, making them the only other University I knew of where they pronounced the “of.”

by rickmbari on Feb 21, 2010 6:36 PM EST up reply actions

It is the Unversity of Arizon.

I did spent my Freshman and Sphomore years in Tucson at the U of A. And they are quite proud of the fact that unlike that upstart Arizona State, they are “the” University of Arizona. Quite a strong resemblance to a certain blue team down the road. Right down to the Wildcat macots.

Well....

…what else do they have to do in that godforsaken town? Tucson is the biggest hole outside of Fresno.

When I get sad, I stop being sad and be awesome again. True story.

Oh well, I lost....

I guess there is going to have to be a tie breaker for those that were closest.
Better luck next time.

HOLY CRAP!

I know I don’t win, because I just got on CC at 11:52pm, but I read the title and thought…

“First game will be 63-69. That’s 132. Then I didn’t feel like adding the other 2 games so I just doubled 132 to 264.”

I checked the final and now I feel like an idiot! Why didn’t I come on the site earlier? Those tickets would have been mine! Now I’m gonna go cry myself to sleep.
