Pitino denies interest in Nets job
Here you go.
"There's not an ounce of truth to it," Pitino told ESPN.com's Pat Forde.
"I have no interest, period," Pitino said Thursday. "I'm done with coaching professional basketball. I've put the professional ranks behind me."
I'm really glad that he said something, and that he did so sooner rather than later. Let's move along.

Is that a world record for fastest widely-circulated, improperly-based rumor quash?
If not, then it should be
Glad to hear it
Have to quash these things quickly and effectively for the sake of recruiting… not to mention my mental health.
Thank you, Rick.
That was an appropriate response.

Agreed.
Someone out there is trying to hurt Rick’s 2011 class and Rick isn’t going to stand for it.
Hell, the real rumor they should all be trying to propagate is that Rick is retiring after this season. I’d at least consider believing that one for a while.

Yeah, why would he leave UofL when he has the #1 recruiting class for 2011?
Because TWill is that awesome and he could bring David Padgett and Taquan Dean back.

I love that he gets in a shot at WVU fans as he's denying this
“Because of what happened at West Virginia, I’m worn out?” he told ESPN’s Forde. “I’ve been on the road recruiting, I’ve been working 18-hour days, and I’m worn out because I went into a place where they denigrate everybody?”

Rick shouldn't be so brazen
The new Russian owner might take him out of louisville by force. Russian billionaires are unreasonable tyrants if movies are windows to reality
