PrintJeff Goodman is making more watch lists and vying heavily for Least Cool Person of 2010. This time, he’s ticked off Coach Pitino, whose sarcastic tone would fit nicely in a CC game thread.
One of our good friends, Jeff Goodman, seems to be confused on why I became the coach of the Puerto Rican National Team. Jeff is a guy most of us in college basketball like and respect, as he provides us with great insight into college basketball. However, because he did not ask me why I took the job prior to posting several of his articles, I will now explain it to the Cardinal nation…
5 Reasons why I took the Puerto Rican National Job:
- Ralph Willard, my best friend and close associate, brought this idea to me as he is close friends with Joel Katz, the Director of Basketball for the Puerto Rican National Team. Ralph will more than likely be moving on to a new challenge after this season. We both felt this would be a great deal of fun to do together and experience something new in our lives.

Also note
Jeff Goodman posted a top 25 list on his blog two days ago and excluded Louisville from the list. Still, though, he had a listed at 13 a school that’s lost two games, one game which was lost to a team that’s lost 4 other games.

Ole Ralphy really was brought in here as a safety net in case the Sypher scandal blew up in Quicky’s face, resulting in him leaving U of L. Thanks Ralph…I guess.

I think Rick wanted a personal friend close by to help him emotionally on and off the court. I wouldn’t speculate too much though until you’ve called and talked to him. :)
