Scholarship Numbers Crunch

With Signing day right around the corner lets take a look at the scholarship numbers. The commitments of Teddy Bridgewater and Eli Rogers boosted the number of verbals in this class to 22 yet CCS and staff seem to still be in high gear on the recruiting trail. Heres a look at some players that the staff has put an all out blitz on and could possibly commit to Louisville in the next few weeks.

*Elkino Watson* Elkino Watson is a 6 "2 280 pound defensive tackle from Miami FL ( Booker T Washington ) who has been on Louisville's radar for a while now. Florida St is making a strong late push for Watson but the strong relationship he has with Clint Hurtt might be enough to bring him to Louisville as many expect.

*Kaleb Johnson* Kaleb Johnson is a 6"4 285 pound offensive guard from Jacksonville FL (Edward H White) whose is a new name on the Louisville radar but has strong interest in the program. He will be making a visit next month with fellow teammate and offensive linemen Rashad Hill.

*Andrew Johnson and Gerrod Holliman* I put these to together because they have been a package deal for a while. They are both highly touted DB's from Miami FL ( Southridge ) who have been on Louisville's rader for a while. When talk started surfacing that they were thinking about opening up there recruitment Louisville's name became a main player as a possible destination for the talented duo. Soon after lowering their commitments to soft verbals to Ole Miss the duo set an october visit to Louisville which was described as great. Well all of that bring us to today when the duo officially de-committed from Ole Miss and have Louisville at the top of their list.

* Jon Davis - Denzel Perryman - Jonathan Battle* Im not ging to go into alot of detail about these three but they are all names to keep an eye on as signing day rapidly approaches. I will say this though. Jon Davis is a big time ATH/TE who is currently commited to Kentucky but seems to be waivering on that commitment and is visiting Louisville next month. I would love to steal one from the kittens not to mention he could possibly the second coming of Cameron Grahm.

Now to my understanding there are 26 available schollys for this class and 22 have been given out. For CCS and staff to still be recruiting at this pace leads me to believe there expecting a few players already commited to not make it academically and are also thinking about grey shirting some players which should free up some space. This is going to be a dynamite class and possibly the best class signed in school history if you look at the quality of talent from top to bottom............... GET EM CHARLIE..........GO CARDS
