Around SBN: Bill Stewart Dead From Apparent Heart Attack

Kentucky Sports Radio, a website that has made a habit out of criticizing professional journalists for shotty reporting, takes its own stab at the practice by making a thorough "investigation" into Jordan Campbell's amateur status using facebook and google search.

Now, the only thing that really bothers me about this article/post is that I think people give KSR the credibility of being legitimate journalism when it really isn't. But such is the nature of the internet age I suppose.

So wait

You’re surprised when UK fans take things on KSR to be worth their weight in gold? This shouldn’t be news to you. I can’t properly express in words how much I dislike Matt Jones and that site. Out of sheer curiosity, I had to turn off my custom IE (don’t judge my IE use, my work doesn’t allow anything but) filter to get to this article. After reading it, and the comments, the filter is going back on. With a randomly assigned password I created by mashing the keyboard so I never go to KSR again.

I didn't say it surprised me

I said it bothered me, so we’re in the same boat

Touche

I was just making a blanket statement. Sorry if I came off the wrong way. I work in Lexington, and I have to sit here and listen to these jokers talk about KSR and all things UK all day long. Thank God for noise cancelling headphones…

don't even get me started!

the amount of UL hate on that site almost outweighs the UK love. anyone who even disagrees or seems to have a sane, moderate viewpoint is automatically labeled a UL fan.

UK fans are looking for some consolation after the pEnes ruling

It’s understandable. I would be pissed if I was one of the idiots who wasted money on Free Enes shirts or wasted time making signs for a semi-pro player. Not to mention, they are really pissed that Selby will be playing for Kansas.

After all, it’s all a conspiracy that the NCAA secretly has it out for UK: “If Campbell played basketball at Kentucky, he’d receive the death penalty.” Thank you, Drew Franklin. You truly encompass everything that is wrong with UK fans.

+50 million

the way they think the world revolves around UK and everyone’s opinion of UK is sickening.

Where's the rule

That someone can’t be a sports agent, college student, and college football player at the same time? Haha. Seriously, I don’t know what to make of this. You certainty don’t want a rule to keep students from starting businesses, but at the same time, you don’t want agents infiltrating the locker room and playing field. So, is it okay as long as he doesn’t have any clients? Interesting issue, but I’m sure there’s a conflict in there somewhere. USC suspended that kid only because they’re already in such deep shit… it doesn’t seem all that wrong to get a ride across campus from another student; or to start a business with another student and friend.

The worst part about the KRS article is that we’re not supposed to assume they’re old friends because they grew up on different sides of the country. Can we assume they’re friends who met in College? Maybe a class in their joint major of Sports Whatever—- that people who want to be sports agents take?

Do they really think

it matters if we have Jordan Campbell or not? HCCS is going to have the best defensive players in the country lined up to play here. It would be Campbells loss, not ours.

We’re not talking about Cam Newton here. What a joke. KSR is laughable.
