There's a will that comes with a crowd like that. That wills the game. The players are certainly playing it, but the spectators have so much to do with the outcome. Tonight was one of those games where for our players the crowd had so much to do with the outcome.

— Men's soccer Head Coach Ken Lolla acknowledges the crowd of 5,100+ at Louisville's Card Park to see the top-ranked Cards face College of Charleston in the NCAA Tournament. The size of the crowd set a Kentucky state record for most ticket-buying fans to watch a college soccer game, without counting the 1,000+ fans watching the game for free on a berm outside the gates. Amazing stuff. Louisville defeated College of Charleston 3-1, scoring 2 goals in the final 8 minutes to advance to the 3rd round where they'll face 16 seed Ohio State. tOSU defeated Providence 2-1 earlier on Sunday. The Buckeyes tied Louisville 0-0 after 2 OTs at Card Park this past September--the only home game Louisville didn't win this season. In 2007, tOSU played in the NCAA College Cup Championship game, a 2-1 loss to Wake Forest in Cary, North Carolina.
