If you haven't yet, tonight is a great chance to catch the top-ranked an undefeated Louisville Cardinal soccer team in action. The Cards will face Notre Dame in the semifials of the Big East Tournament, and the game will be carried by CBS College Sports at 7:30 p.m.
Notre Dame is ranked 17th in the country, and enters tonight's match at Red bull Arena on a season-high five-game winning streak.
U of L defeated the Irish 2-0 in the only meeting between the two in the regular season.
"I think this is a fabulous matchup," Notre Dame head coach Bobby Clark said. "Louisville is possibly the best team we've faced all year. They beat us 2-0 earlier in the season and I thought deservedly so. We're excited to see where we've come in the four weeks since we've played them. It'll be a good test for us. The game should be a fantastic advertisement for Big East soccer."
Louisville was a perfect 9-0 in Big East play during the regular season, and knocked off West Virginia 2-0 to get to this point. Freshman midfielder Dylan Mares leads the Cardinals in goals (8) and points (18), while junior midfielder Kenney Walker has a team-best seven assists. On the other end of the field, junior Andre Boudreaux has played every minute in goal, posting a 0.56 goals-against average and a .767 save percentage with seven shutouts.
Cincinnati and Providence will meet in the other semifinal.
