Dave Wannstedt: How does Louisville go up there with a backup quarterback and running back and beat Syracuse at home, especially when Syracuse has everything? It didn't matter to those kids on Louisville's team what was on the line. All that matters is that guys had the opportunity and they went in and performed.

I like Skip Holtz's comment about burning redshirts
"You’ve got a couple of players at the position that are gimpy, limping and sore and beat up and tired a little bit," Holtz said. "Then you have a redshirt freshman over there who looks like an ad for a dairy product, he’s so healthy, and you can’t play them a snap because it will constitute a year. And so the guys who are beat up have to keep going."
If he had said “like an ad for a Milk Chug” instead, he would be one of my favorite Big East coaches.

Looks like we got ourselves a football team. I am excited about this year and the future. Go cards.
