Miller narrows his list, includes Louisville
One week ago, Quincy Miller, arguably the top recruit in the 2011 class, posted on his blog that he was considering five schools: Oklahoma, Marquette, Baylor, Duke, and Louisville. ZagsBlog talked to Miller around the same time, and during that interview Miller said the list was down to four schools, which he ranked in order stating, "Baylor and Louisville are slightly in the lead and Duke is right behind and then Oklahoma." Today, Evan Daniels, a reporter at Scout.com, stated that Miller has shortened that list to Baylor, Duke, and Louisville.
Miller visited Louisville during the UofL-UK football game, along with Chane Behanan. (As you can see, I was lucky enough to get a photo with them.) While Chane committed soon after his visit, Miller was expected to commit but never did. Instead, Miller visited Baylor about a month later, and claimed that "the Baylor visit went real well . . . That was my best visit thus far. They’re like a family, and I’m really interested in that." Now Miller will visit Duke this weekend (for the at least 5th time) and attend Duke's midnight madness.
These two recent Tweets may be almost noteworthy:

I dont think Miller ends up here
I think its going to come down to Baylor and Duke and he commits to Duke
How that crappy Duke team wound up as winning the NC team last year and our '09 team didn't reach the FF will always be a mystery to me.
Not exactly on point, but it gives me another reason to be pissed at Duke if they land QM.

"wound up as winning the NC team"
Apparently it’s too late in the day for this whole typing thing.

Bello isn't being looked at by Duke.
I think Bello to Baylor
Miller to Duke.

I think Cal pays these top recruits to mention Louisville just to crush our spirits when the kids announce.
god cal must be the richest man on earth
if he pays the recruits, agents, parents, www, and ncaa like you cal haters say he does.. but hey if pitino wants these guys im sure he can resort to his old hawaii days
On May 7, 1977, the hammer fell. According to Star-Bulletin articles at the time, the program was placed on probation and nine individuals — O’Neil, assistant coach Rick Pitino, athletic director Paul Durham and boosters Wallace Fujiyama, Stuart Ho, Tom Mui, Clarence Chang, Harry Kurasaki and Mike Suzuki were ordered to permanently sever all relations with UH athletics. Pitino was 2-4 as interim head coach after O’Neil was relieved Feb. 6, 1976. Pitino went on to a hugely successful career as a college and NBA head coach that continues to this day at Louisville. He rarely mentions his time in Hawaii.
yep they were getting free rental cars, free mcdonald’s(lol funny but true) coaches lying to the ncaa.. but he is clean know.. i mean nothing has came out to suggests he is still of low moral character

"Oh, i can take a joke"
No, you can’t. You’re lying to yourself if you think that was ‘taking a joke.’
Taking a joke means you LAUGH. Your response was nothing but irkdom.
and you are lying to yourself
if you think there is no malice behind the “jokes” about cal…. especially on this site…and believe me knowing the facts about pitino’s shady past, i laugh my ass off at these cal “jokes”

I don't understand your problem
This is our site. We don’t have to like Cal. We’re not fans of your school, coach or team. If you want us to be civil about your coach… well that just ain’t gonna happen.
P.S. I didn’t see anyone on here defending Billy Clyde when we were ripping on him after every DUI and scholly offer to an 8th grader.. but with Cal, it’s a whole different story. Either you honestly feel that a grown man, a millionaire many times over, really needs you to protect him from an opposing fan’s blog, or you’re feeling guilty about something. Worried in the back of your mind that it’s too good to be true? Well guess what, it probably is.
first of all fuck billy g he was our kragthorpe
second where do you see me once defend calipari… i mean if me showing you how hypocritical you guys are by bashing a suspected cheater while coached by a proven cheater is defending cal then i guess i must have the wrong meaning of defend, i dont have to defend cal, he has been cleared…third i know this is “your” site but since “your” site continues to bring up cal then i will comment on it also like i do any other thread on this site…i mean what is the point of blogging if everyone agrees.. thats just boring.. hell i love chatting on this site, im a uk fan but i live in louisville and follow the cards very closely so i look to this site for updated info on the cards, so if i run across a story that i agree, disagree , or just wanna comment on then i will because this is MY account

Do you have a man-crush on Cal?
Bottom line: neither coach is perfect.
Other Bottom Line: you need to stop getting bent out of shape over every negative comment on Cal, just cause you want to start an argument. Let it go and stop annoying the crap out of everybody on here.

lol i think the question is
do you guys have a crush on cal?… if you look you will see my first comment wasnt on cal it was on the topic at hand, but then someone makes a cal reference .. oh excuse me a “joke” and i commented back..lol and i love this im getting bent out of shape.. really because i see it as good ole fashion rival banter and believe me not once has anyone got me bent out of shape.. im sorry but comments on a website annoy me very little. i might disagree enough to comment but get annoyed.. ill leave that to you who take these comments to heart

I think he is on a mission to
get the “last word” on any discussion he gets in. It is annoying as crap, but at least he isn’t completely retarded on every topic he comments on and is somewhat realistic in most of his points…
What's the point of following a blog you don't enjoy?
You’re not going to change any of our minds about Cal. You’re just going to piss us and yourself off. Especially about this Hawaii thing. Who the the fuck cares about that? It was 34 years ago, Rick wasn’t even the head coach, so the responsibility for setting ground rules for codes of conduct wasn’t his job. He may have committed unethical acts, but again, this was in the fucking mid 70s dude. Rules were different back then, agents as we know them didn’t really even exist.
Cal’s last ‘official’ violation is barely a season old. Totally different situation.
cal had a violation at uk?
i must have missed it… because from what i have gathered through the actual truths of the matters is bledsoe may or may not had his grade change IN HS and kanter might have been paid by a turkey team IN TURKEY .. so if cal has that much reach and pull and able to actually get away with it… wow.. he needs to be called christ cause he is working miracles… and dude you are right the 70’s was a different time, teames didnt have agents doing their dirty work they had assistants and i didnt know cheating had a shelf life.. 34 years ago or 1 year ago cheating is cheating.. if you are going to condemn a coach for alleged violations then you should also do so for a proven cheater..but oh well im done with this topic… its ok for louisville to have a proven rules violator with recent scandals as a coach but uk hires an alleged violator with recent allegations and “we sold our souls”…lol but again im done .. say what you will

Stop trying to get the last word in man, you’re not making any sense.
Billy G wasn’t near as bad as Kragthorpe. You don’t understand

I still don't understand the whole Baylor thing...
When, why, and how did they become relevant on the recruiting scene? One elite eight and they’re pulling in a top 10 recruiting haul?
From this article, Baylor’s recruiting techniques sound like a class act.
Also, their leading scorer got arrested for aggravated assault and was suspended indefinitely.

Yeah
Baylor is weird. They had that crazy scandal a few years back. And it’s all the way in Texas. Plus, I think Duke and Baylor are both known for their academics. Maybe they both got in the loop for that reason. Duke will also be close to home fore him. I’m really just glad he ruled out UK and Marquette. If he wants to be a one and done, he should come to Louisville over the other two. At least that way he won’t have to worry about struggling academically…. not that Louisville is a bad school, just that I don’t think they’re on par with Duke or Baylor.
One thing is apparent, this guy is milking the hell out of his recruitment. It’s there’s a big basketball event, he’s going. I don’t blame him. I’m sure he’s having a blast. Sooner or later, he gonna have to make a choice. He’ll probably end up abroad playing professionally.

Nothing personal here...
But at nearly every D-I school outside the Ivy League, the education that a high-profile athlete (who wants to just “get by”) gets is identical (and it ain’t much).

they know their coach can get them far with nobodies and also baylor doesn’t face to many tough teams so these guys can just dominate and pad stats

If Rick starts losing recruits to a mid-major some serious thought needs to be put to it…Tom?
