The fans need to perform
This is Crawford's latest article and I noticed that Coach Strong raises a very valid point in a quote. For the team to win, everyone has to perform; the offense, the defense AND the fans. I don't think enough Cardinal fans (myself included) really consider themselves part of the team the way fans do at other schools. Its almost like you go to the game to party, and that takes precedence over supporting the Cards. The party deck is definitely not helping this mentality, but it's also lack of winning tradition I'm sure. I think the recent talk about fan support should be a wake up call to all UofL fans to take responsibility for their fan support and step it up a notch. I'm personally pledging not to leave any more games early and not to hang out on the party deck any longer than i have to. We need to get a mentality going that when you buy that ticket, you're pledging to be there for the team, not just attending a social gathering where there also happens to be football. If we want to keep a big time coach, lets act like a big time program. I really don't want to see HCCS leaving anytime soon, and if there's anything I can do to help, consider me on it. Let's get the fan mentality changed and start speaking up at games if you have friends who asses aren't parked in their seats.
