Can a Cardinal and a Wildcat co-exist?
The John Wall Watch is on. The Kentucky guard, everyone’s favorite to be the top pick in the NBA Draft, said Saturday he has “no choice” but to plan for a June trip to New York. UK coach John Calipari said earlier he’d “wrestle” with the 6′4″ Wall if he even thought about returning. The Nets have a 1-in-4 chance of getting the top pick if they finish with the NBA’s worst record, now almost a foregone conclusion.
Looks like T-Will might have a new teammate come June. All of the Net fans ( I didn't say Cardinal-Net fans) are giddy about the prospect of landing John Wall in the upcoming NBA Draft. I was just wondering what your thoughts are on this. This could be interesting to say the least. T-Will did say in one of his twitter post that John Wall "had nice hands." I should mention that he already plays with former WKU player Courtney Lee and they seem to get along well. Tell me what you think!

John Wall
is a great player. I hate UK, not John Wall. Sure, he’s made poor decisions in his life, such as school choice, but you can’t hold that against him forever. Even our Coach was associated with that wretched place at one point.

T Will is improving but I recently saw talk of him heading to the D-League. Also with Devin Harris is it a given the Nets take Wall?
Personally I can’t think of anyone else they would draft based on the fact that they suck and could use the press. But besides having Harris, will they make a run at Lebron? I doubt he would go there the way the roster looks now, but if they can bring in other free agents (Wade) the make up of that team changes significantly.
They gone have to stop sleeping on me one day.. I gotta be one of the best

D-League?
Huh? He is always the 2nd or 3rd guy off that bench. There are 15 people on that roster, how are you going to tell me they are sending their 8th best player, 2 million a year, and stick him in the D League

I think that if you pay them each enough
they’ll get along just fine
lottery is crapshoot anyway
who knows if the nets even land the number 1 pick, but, as mentioned, they already have an allstar (last year) point guard in Devin Harris. The Nets have a gajillion (actual number) holes. They might be served by trading down if they were to get the pick. Although a Number 1 Pick does do a lot to rejuvenate a fanbase.
And Twill and CDR (Memphis) are coexisting nicely.
won't matter
They never played against each other in college. They aren’t from Kentucky so they don’t have as healthy of a respect for the rivalry in the first place. The whole college rivalry crap goes out the window the second you become a pro and make millions of dollars. If anything, they’ll probably be closer to each other b/c of their shared experiences from playing college basketball in Kentucky.
1 year removed from his last game in a UK uniform, I doubt Wall associates himself with UK any more than his current NBA team or his hometown.

I think T-Will
used to get pretty into the rivalry though. I think I remember him getting pretty physical one or two years ago + he spent a full 4 years there. John Wall, on the other hand, probably won’t care all that much. Pitino’s biggest problem was that he couldn’t get Wall emotional during the game.

You wont have to worry about John Wall. You can put that kid on the court with
4 concrete blocks and he will give you his best effort. The kid has a great attitude, and just wants to play ball more than he wants to sleep, eat, and breathe. And by the way, you dont get Wall emotional……if you irritate him, he just buckles down and plays harder.
Remember, we're having fun now!!!
Any NBA player who has a legit problem with a teammate
b/c of where they played in college will get ridiculed. That’s like two high schoolers from rival high schools not getting along on a college team. Who cares?
