I am also a member of the Portland Trail Blazers SB Nation blog and I've noticed that they actually get press credentials for each game and appear to be a valid member of the media.  Seeing as how many of us go first to Card Chronicle for in-depth analysis, pre/post game commentary, links, photos, community, etc.  It seems fitting that Mike should receive one press pass per home game (and maybe more than that).  I know things work differently at the college level and I'm sure it's been asked of, but just wondering what is the likelihood and where does UofL stand on this right now.
