Justin Burke named starting quarterback
This would seem to be the product of Froman's lingering shoulder injury more than anything. Both will play against Indiana State, and since it's going to be so difficult to take anything away from that game, both will almost certainly also play two weeks later in Lexington.
Still, congrats Justin.

For this post? A lot going on there. Also, if I saw Burke or Froman on the street I would have no idea who either was.
Krag quote
From today’s CJ:
<<Froman has been hampered by a pulled muscle in his upper back and had not participated in contact drills. Kragthorpe said Froman should be throwing in eight days but he would not open the competition back up after he gets healthy.
"Justin’s the starter right now," Kragthorpe said. "He doesn’t need to look in the rear-view mirror at anybody behind him. He is the guy.">>
Anyone believe that? I see lots of back and forth this year.
Stoudt looks cool
Bringing respect back to the black 18 jersey.
Honestly, I think this is the worst case scenario. Everyone involved knows that the quarterback race is still a total toss-up, and almost definitely will be until late September.
Having an unquestioned starter right now gives us the best chance at upsetting Kentucky, and we’re about as far from having that luxury as possible.

I tend not to believe much of what K says
But the truth is he never says much. Talks some; words come out. But it is never more than a predictable string of cliches’.

STOUDT
I think Krag should just give Stoudt the spot early. He is our future quarterback who won’t learn near as much behind a couple nobodies as he would on the field early. Oh yeah, Lexington boy can suck these nuts! GO CARDS!
