Morality clause present in Pitino's contract
This has to be the most infamous restaurant sex since Humpty got busy in a Burger King bathroom.
From the C-J:
The University of Louisville's contract with men's basketball coach Rick Pitino allows him to be fired for cause for acts of "moral depravity" or for being dishonest with the university.
It also allows him to be terminated for generating disparaging media publicity, if it is caused by his "willful conduct that could objectively be determined to bring (the) employee into public dispute or scandal, or which tends to greatly offend the public."
You can look at the contract in its entirety right here.

I don't see Pitino being fired, either
But I do see him resigning. For the good of the school; for the good of his family; for the good of the community; whatever. I don’t know whether I hope I’m wrong or I hope I’m right. This is all disheartening, but as someone said earlier, U of L basketball is bigger than any one coach. (At least I hope it is.)

Pitino is not resigning
He didn’t do anything Illegal or broke any rules. This is a personal matter. I don’t feel this reflects on the univeristy or the program at all.

With all the media
talking about this, its getting out of hand. When this first broke last night i thought big deal, we knew this info before. But now that every news station and every internet website is reporting this and abortion activist are running around screaming, it may push or make Jurich and the Univeristy do something about it. Im for Pitino staying but he may be feeling alot of pressure right now from this to resign..
Agreed
This story is growing bigger. I am curious to see what Ramsey does.

I think there must be some kind of response by U of L--besides Doc Ramsey
saying he was “surprised”
I think there may be some presser by Pitino…..
At this point the pressure is intense—but will continue to be over the next few days?
I think Pitino and U of L are gauging public opinion and pressure, and that will determine the formal response, if any IMO
